Our family-friendly 4-berth Fiat Ducato is a practical and fully equipped campervan, ideal for families or couples looking to explore Scotland and the rest of the UK without having to bring all their camping equipment with them.
The camper has 4 belted travel seats and two separate double sleeping areas. The lower bed is approximately 183 x 140 cm, while the upper bunk is approximately 168 x 120 cm, making the layout particularly well suited to a family with children. There is around 50 cm of headroom above the lower bed and around 45 cm above the upper bunk.
The front captain's seats swivel around to create a comfortable dining area, with a removable table and seating for four. The van also has a large amount of storage, including approximately 1,200 litres of storage underneath the beds, plus a wardrobe with hanging space and shelves for clothes.
Everything you need for a comfortable trip is provided. The kitchen includes a 2-ring gas hob, 65-litre gas tank, sink, gas kettle, coffee maker, pots, pans, crockery, mugs, cutlery and cooking utensils. There is also a 65-litre compressor fridge/freezer, so you can keep food and drinks cold throughout your trip.
For off-grid trips, the camper has a 150Ah leisure battery and diesel heating. When staying at a campsite, there is 230V mains hook-up with internal sockets, and we provide the hook-up cable and extension lead. Two levelling ramps are also included.
For sleeping, we provide fresh bed linen, pillows and towels, so you can simply pack your clothes and head off.
There is a portable Thetford toilet on board, stored on a pull-out system underneath the shelves for easy access. Privacy is provided separately using the window blinds, The front windscreen cover prevents the van from heating up during the day and provides complete darkness at night.
For outdoor time, we provide a camping table with seating for 4 people. We also include a simple outdoor fire and BBQ setup, including a BBQ stand, heavy-duty gloves, and it is designed to be grass-friendly and low-impact, so it does not damage or burn the ground, making it ideal for disposable BBQs and responsible outdoor use, giving you everything you need for an evening outdoors.
Families are very welcome. Child seats and booster seats for children over 2 years old may be available, however this is subject to availability and we cannot always guarantee the correct size for every child. We are happy to help and advise, so please feel free to ask in advance so we can check what is possible for your trip. Please note that the vehicle does not have ISOFIX.
We know from our own experience with our 1.5-year-old and 6-year-old boys that keeping children entertained can make a big difference on a long journey, while cooking dinner or simply relaxing in the evening. If you're travelling with children, we're happy to stock the campervan with a selection toys, board games and card games before your trip. There is also a 19" TV with a built-in DVD player, USB media playback and HDMI connection, along with a small collection of children's films and cartoons. You can bring your own DVDs or films on a USB stick, or connect your own compatible device via HDMI for even more entertainment options.
The camper is a 2015 Fiat Ducato Maxi 2.3 Multijet 150hp with a manual gearbox, currently with around 124,000 miles. It has a reverse camera, towbar, double-glazed windows, internal blinds, reading lights and plenty of storage.
This is a self-built campervan, so it has a more homely and practical character rather than looking like a brand-new factory motorhome. It is clean, comfortable and well equipped, with some visible signs of use and the occasional characterful squeak or imperfect fit that comes with a self-built camper. Everything in the camper is working and it is ready for your trip.
The van is available for trips throughout the UK. We are happy to help with the handover and explain how everything works before you set off.
