Our Rapido 8096df 55th Anniversary Edition motorhome is perfect for touring Ireland (North and South) in luxury. It's very spacious with a super king island bed in the private rear bedroom, separate shower, toilet, kitchen, another king bed that drops down over the driving area and even a very large garage. Despite the size and luxury, it's 3,500kg so can be driven on a standard car licence. It's economical to run and easy to manage even on tight Irish roads....

Rules for use of vehicle:
- no smoking in the vehicle at any time
- house batteries must not be discharged below 50% to avoid damage

Insurance:
- comprehensive insurance is included in the rental fee
- all drivers must:
- be between 25 and 75 years of age;
- have held their driving license for at least 2 years;
- have no more than 2 driving convictions, with a maximum of 3 points per conviction;
- not have had their license suspended for any period within the last 3 years;
- not have more than 1 fault incident within the last 3 years;
- the following will be required to start the rental:
- valid driving license photo card
- 2 original utility bills dated within 90 days of the rental date
- Driving license check code from NI Direct or DVLA (for UK license holders)

Safety & security:
- if the vehicle is left unattended at any time:
- all doors and windows must be closed and locked (including roof vents)
- the keys must not be left in, on or around the vehicle, or otherwise left unattended

If the safety & security conditions above are not met at all times, the full security deposit will be forfeited. If the vehicle is stolen while the safety & security conditions are not met, you will be required to pay the full market value of the vehicle immediately.

Festivals are permitted subject to an additional security deposit and cleaning charge. Please contact us to discuss if you would like to visit a festival (e.g. Glastonbury) in the motorhome.

On return, the following conditions must be met to avoid a charge:
- vehicle interior clean (same condition as at start of rental)
- waste water tank and toilet cassette empty
- fuel tank full
- propane gas bottle full

If the return conditions are not met in full, you will be subject to a charge of up to £100 to cover the cost of cleaning and/or reconditioning, plus the cost of refilling diesel fuel and/or propane.

Jennifer and Harry have a beautiful motorhome. It is high spec and luxurious and great to drive. However we were very disappointed by the rigid rules. The van is expected back by 11am sharp which was difficult as we were a 3 hour drive away. We were 35 mins late returning it which we didn’t mean to be and we were charged an extra payment of £35. We were also told at handover we didn’t have to fully replace the gas cannisters as the size is hard to come by and we could pay for what we used. I used the gas to boil the kettle once a day (for 4 days) and we were charged £25 for gas, it would have been cheaper going out for my morning cuppa! We were also charged for a missing knife (we never took anything from the van) and “missing” reusable batteries which the owner put into the lamp at handover and which we never used again. We were also charged for extra data via the router with no information given that it was possible to use over the limit and that this would have been an extra charge. As I say, the motorhome itself is perfect and we had an amazing weekend away but I would be wary renting this as if you deviate from the owners rigid rules at all you’re charged heavily and you are charged for missing items you’ve never even used! Despite the amazing attention to detail when charging us extra there was no inventory for us to review and sign before or after the rental so no way for us to prove the false claims. July 2023
