4-seater Volkswagen bus from 2012

Well-maintained 2012 Volkswagen California camper. For the first few years of its life, this camper was driven in Germany, and in 2014, it was imported into the Netherlands by Scharphof Campers from Nijverdal. In total, we are only the third owners of this camper. We have owned it for over two years now and have driven more than 15,000 km trouble-free during that time. We have the camper serviced annually, and it has recently undergone all the necessary maintenance, so it is ready to go for the coming years.

We take great care of it ourselves and expect the renter to treat the camper with care as well. Of course, it remains a means of use, but I think it is clear what we mean :-).

The camper has 4 sleeping places, but experience shows that it is quite cramped with 4 adults if you all want to sleep inside the van. We would actually recommend sleeping in the van with a maximum of 3 adults (1 downstairs, 2 upstairs), or with 2 adults and 2 children. We have one mattress topper available that can be used both downstairs and upstairs.

The camper is equipped with the most important camping accessories, such as plates, cutlery, cups, and pans. Camping chairs and a camping table can also be brought along if desired. The camper does not have a parking heater, but it does have a (separate) electric heater, which is perfectly suitable for pleasantly warming the small space on somewhat colder or damp days. The camper can also be completely darkened with the original curtains.

On the exterior, the camper features an awning, ideal for creating shade or keeping items dry outside during rain. Additionally, the camper is equipped with a bicycle rack for 4 bikes. However, this can only be used for 2 'standard' bikes or for 4 relatively lightweight bikes such as mountain bikes or road bikes. If electric bikes are brought along, please use a bike rack on the tow bar.

It is optional and possible to rent a bicycle rack in addition, subject to consultation. The guide price for the 2-bike rack is €30 per week or €20 per midweek/weekend. The guide price for the trailer is €75 per week or €50 per midweek/weekend. We personally find the trailer particularly ideal for keeping luggage outside the camper as much as possible, making it easy to make the bed regularly without having to move all the luggage.
