Allereerst: Fien is een Supertoffecoole madam! Ze heeft ons alles goed uitgelegd. We zijn naar Frankrijk getrokken en hebben een fantastische roadtrip gehad. De van is heel gemakkelijk te rijden. Wauw! Mijn eerste camperervaring! Wat heb ik hier enorm van genoten. Eerst en vooral al de vriendelijke ontvangst van Fien met duidelijke uitleg. De communicatie met Fien was uitermate top! De camper is heel praktisch ingericht maar er waren enkele dingen defect waardoor we wel wat ongemakken hadden. Dat is ook besproken geweest en ik ben ervan overtuigd dat dit wel wordt aangepakt. Het is geen jong busje meer met veel ruim 200.000 km’s , de chauffeur zetel zat los, de schuifdeur ging niet open na gesloten te zijn. Eens open en niet sluiten ging het wel, het putje van de afvoer stonk, er lag nog veel hondenhaar op de zetels, het bed is ook niet voor iemand van 1m90 wat wel zo vermeld staat. Er is wel genoeg ruimte , het is charmant ingericht , de matras is wel goed , de frigo en fornuis ook. We hadden op zich wel een leuk weekend maar de camper was niet helemaal zoals verwacht. Wat een fantastische camper! Alles wat je nodig hebt voor een ontspannende tijd is aanwezig in het busje. Gezellig ingericht, veel opbergruimte, een goed werkende koelkast en uitstekend fornuis… Ook de plooifietsjes zijn een echte meerwaarde. But we never really bothered about that. They couldn't slide far anyway 😄. Here and there we had some ideas to make the journey with the Vancent even better. This is purely about details and extras because, as said before, a lot was already provided. - An (extra) mop or similar for your wet shoes. Sometimes you can't help but enter with your wet shoes, but unfortunately that took a lot of mud with us. Both from the rain and from dew in the evening / morning. The doormat didn't do much in this case, but Fien was already working on a solution here too. - There were many hooks everywhere for anything and everything, but we just missed 1 or 2 hooks for the jacket / sweater with which you stepped in at night. If you don't want to throw your clothes everywhere or want to start storing them because you have to go outside for the toilet or the like anyway. We could also put it in the front, but that obviously made a lot of noise with the doors after a certain hour. - there were mood lights that are very nice! But an extra set of batteries seems useful for this. These may have been present but we looked over them 😉 - if we wanted to open the door for breakfast and prepare the coffee in the morning, it was quite inconvenient when it rained. We had an umbrella with us to keep the rain out. So with some creative thinking you will eventually come up with a semi-solution ;). Of course you can also just close the door while cooking, but we preferred to open it for ventilation. - unfortunately we were in a place where the wasps also liked to stay. Since no fly net was attached to the door, they came to eat together and sometimes dared to hide until the evening. We had no problems with mosquitoes. The fly curtain at the back works perfectly, but then there is the bed again and sometimes you just want to have a nice meal with the sliding door open. - very last tip: we had the misfortune to get stuck in the mud 1 time. Fortunately, we were able to maneuver our way out of there pretty quickly. It would perhaps be useful if there were some planks in the trunk as a preventive measure (space enough!) If you are a bit more unlucky than us and cannot drive out so smoothly. But again: these are details and tips for nice extras that would make the experience even better.
