We rented Bamboo Bennie for 13 days and 12 nights, and had an absolutely amazing trip!
The van is super well-equipped: it includes everything you need for cooking — pots, a kettle, a frying pan, plates of different sizes, two mugs, cutlery, a sharp knife, and a bottle opener. The only thing missing was a coffee maker, so we brought our own French press, which we’d definitely recommend if you're into your morning brew!
For sleeping, the van comes with clean and fresh bedding — a comfy duvet, mattress topper, four pillows — and even towels, which was a nice touch.
It’s very easy to drive and didn’t use much fuel during our trip. The pop-up roof is a big bonus as it lets you stand up inside comfortably, and the van’s layout is intuitive and easy to get used to.
David was incredibly nice and helpful from the start. He answered all our questions quickly, gave us great tips, and made the whole rental process smooth and stress-free.
We travelled through the Outer Hebrides and took the van on five different ferries with no issues. The outdoor table and chairs were perfect for meals with stunning views of Scotland’s wild landscapes.
We really recommend Bamboo Bennie for anyone looking to explore Scotland by van!
Our only suggestion: it would be great to have an awning or shelter for rainy stops — but David told us that’s already being added.
We’d love to rent Bamboo Bennie again next time we’re in Scotland!
