First time driving a vehicle larger than a car, first time in a camper van so I was more than a little nervous when the day arrived, but John's easy-going, relaxed manner and humour soon put me at ease.
He did a very thorough handover, showed us everything we needed to know and gave us confidence that we could do it!!
We headed up to Glencoe, Skye, Inverness and finished up in Loch Lomond. Smudger is sooooo easy to drive so if it's your first time too, do not worry, you will get used to it very quickly.
We loved van life. John's van has more than everything you could need and the wee toilet was great for a menopausal lady like me 😆
It was a bit cold now and then so we used the heater a few times and it was brilliant!! Heats up the van very quickly and you can adjust the temperature to suit.
The beds, table etc are very easy to set up and you soon get the knack and get into a routine.
If, like me, you've wanted to do this for a while but aren't sure if you can do it, I would highly recommend John's van. It's not too big but definitely not too small so for a 2 adults or a small family it's ideal!
Go for it, you won't regret it. It was everything I hoped it would be 🏴💛
