The handover was very smooth and efficient. Jon Paul and Sarah were kind enough to allow us to see the van the day before our rental so that we could acquaint ourselves with the van and learn how to access gas bottles, how to empty the toilet cassette, how to pull out the bed and turn the driving seats for use as armchairs.
We headed to the Green Man festival near Brecon where we rendezvoused with a group of friends in camper vans on a very "civilised" campsite, some distance away from the field of countless two-man tents. Shower and loo facilities were excellent so we didn't need to use our onboard facilities and we decided that there would be no cooking in the van. The food at the festival was mostly excellent but expensive. The music was great, the festival vibe was very chilled with lots of young families enjoying the long weekend and the van was extremely comfortable. It is the perfect size for two people and very well-equipped. I can't think of anything that we needed that hadn't been included.
