Welcome to Margo our Chausson Flash 656 7 Berth Motorhome, who we have decided to hire out for the 2021 season.
Margo is powered by a Fiat Ducato 2.3 150bhp engine with a 6 speed Manual gearbox and she runs on diesel and can be driven on a Category B licence (normal car licence).
She is immaculate and will sleep seven, and each seat (7 in total) is fitted with a seat belt so you can all travel together in safety. We are happy to hire from 1 to 7 occupants, and the rental costs will remain the same.
Full Comprehensive insurance is included for one driver providing you are between 23 and 79 and no more than six points on your licence. If you are slightly younger/older or require an additional driver please contact us as the insurance company may be able to cover you for an additional cost.
We do allow Margo to go abroad, but you will have to complete and pay for the form VE103 to cover the insurance. Margo does have full european breakdown cover included.
There are two adult sized bunks to the rear with a ladder to access the top bunk, and a curtain for the bunks for privacy. There is a large double motorised drop down bed above the dining area again with a ladder for access. The additional double bed which is made up from the dining area seating is below the motorised bed and a smaller single bed which is made up from the two seater area (this is for a smaller adult or child as a little shorter than the double).
Bedding can be provided for all the beds at a small additional fee.
Margo is fitted with an air conditioning unit in the main living area. In preparation for a scorching hot 2021...
There is a full size bathroom with sink and toilet and a large shower which is ideal if you decide to go off grid and stay away from camp sites for a few days. There will be complimentary toilet rolls just to get you going.
In keeping with the off grid camping there is a large solar panel and double leisure batteries fitted to provide you with enough power to keep your phones and tablets topped up. Along with a large water tank.
Navigation is sorted with a Sony Stereo that supports Apple car play and Androidauto so you can connect you devices. There is also a reversing camera fitted. Margo also has full breakdown cover.
In the kitchen area we have provided enough cutlery and crockery and glasses for up to 8 campers, along with some dishcloths, washing up liquid and some cleaning products and it also comes equipped with a microwave, toaster, kettles (1 electric and 1 for the hob) Grill and the 3 gas burner hob. There is also a large fridge with small freezer at the top. All you need to add is your food and wine/beer.
There is ample storage for food within the cupboards, along with a large wardrobe and storage under the seating areas.
Outside living is taken care of with a full length Fiamma awning.
Margo also has a Vango Drive-away inflatable Awning complete with carpet, liner and sky lining, size 320cm x 310cm this is available with Margo upon your request.
We can also provide enough chairs for 7 along with a large folding table and Cadac cooking system (BBQ/Grill) but you will need to supply your own gas bottle for the BBQ.
Bikes can be stored on the Fiamma rack on the back of Margo, this holds 2 bikes and is included in the hire. You can store more bikes if needed in the inside garage area if the lower bunk is not in use.
Margo will come immaculately cleaned and sanitised, fully fuelled with diesel and a 6kg gas bottle, along with chemicals for the toilet and some cleaning materials. She must be returned Fully cleaned and sanitised, fully fuelled along with the toilet and waste water having being emptied.
NO FESTIVALS/STAG or HEN Parties.
We do allow well behaved dogs, but ask that all the seats are covered with throws which are included if you wish for them to sit on the seats. Please ensure you inform us on booking of the breed and how many dogs.
If you have never camped before and think you would need anything extra please do not hesitate to ask us we have been camping for many years going from tents to trailer tents to caravans with our children, grandchildren and dogs and have finally reached Margo. We have a large stash of camping gear if there was anything else you think you might need....
Parents & Grandparents - we hated being fleeced over the bank holidays and school half terms for holidays, hence we do not increase our prices for these periods other than the main summer period.
We fully understand that breakages and damage occur all we ask is that you are honest and report it to us upon return of the van (or before) so as to avoid any unnecessary drama.
Margo is ideally located on the A14 corridor for easy access to the M1, M6 and A1 for your adventures further a field.
We are BLUE LIGHT FRIENDLY and offer a 10% discount upon proof of service.
Unfortunately due to extensive damage in summer 2021 and people not taking care of Margo our pride and joy we have had no choice but to increase the deposit requested to £1000. Love and look after Margo and you get all your deposit back simples....
Due to our insurance company requests when hiring any of our Vans we will require a photo copy of your driving licence, and 2 forms of identification (these could be household bills, or passport in your name) we will also need to do a DVLA driving licence check when you arrive to collect your hire van.
We are happy for the copies of your driving licence and household bills to be emailed through to us before your hire if you wish to do this, or we can copy them when you arrive.
We will take the damage waiver deposit from yourself when you collect Margo which is £1000, this can be paid by cred/debit card or bank transfer and is returned to you when Margo is safely returned with no damage.
Currently Margo is not as perfect as we would like due to an inconsiderate hirer from last season and the difficulty getting parts, she is fully useable but has some exterior battle scars until repairs can be done, we do apologise for this but can do nothing about it.
