Hello!
I would like to offer my self-built camper van as a camper van for your ideal road trip! I myself have experienced the freedom of the van and I would like to share this with more people. Most likely you will start your own project after this! It is not the most new or beautiful van, but it has everything for an ideal road trip or holiday.
The camper van drives great and shifts well. You can easily drive 120/130 km/h if you want. Of course it is nicer to drive 100 km/h on cruise control. The nice thing about the van is that you do not necessarily have to be on the campsite. Thanks to the solar panels and the internal battery you can easily be off grid for 2 days (with lots of sun). This in combination with the portable toilet and shower you can enjoy the wonderful peace and quiet, wherever you want.
Motor condition
It concerns a Volkswagen T4 from the year 2000 equipped with a reliable 2.5 TDI engine. In the meantime, the bus has 4 tons on the counter, but that does not make her unreliable. On the contrary, November 2024 had a proper MOT and no points came out. She is in good mechanical condition and has had major maintenance around 400,000. For example, the timing belt has been replaced and a new gearbox has been installed. The bus already has some optical traces of use. Not surprising because the bus is already 23 years old.
