This fun and cheerful camper isn't the youngest anymore, but it runs like a dream. With just under 170,000 km on the odometer.
It is neatly furnished with dimmable lighting at the cooking area/sink and two brighter LED lights in the ceiling. (There is also a set of battery-operated artificial tea lights for romantic moments. :-))
A cozy seating area is formed by the passenger's swivel seat, the seat above the electrical cabinet, and a swivel and detachable table. This allows two people to sit down to eat, have a drink, or play a game.
Standing height up to approx. 175 cm. But with the roof raised, more than 2 meters thanks to the large-format, luxury version, pop-up roof. With a semi-circular opening with fine mesh at the front and rear.
Light and air as well, thanks to an extra tinted window with a small sliding pane on both sides.
It is fully equipped for a short or long trip and features leveling blocks, a 10-meter cable/connector for shore power, a folding table and 2 chairs for outside, a small fridge, pans, a whistling kettle, cutlery, plates, oil and some spices, coffee and tea, a few games—basically everything you need.
The two solar panels and professional electrical installation ensure that you can operate perfectly off-grid. If, like me, you don't need much power, the 370 Amp inverter suffices. Good for a laptop, toothbrushes, etc. If you want to make heavier use of electricity, connection to shore power is possible.
In the household section, it is fitted with sliding curtains all around.
It has an awning that attaches to the awning rail.
With my background as a carpenter, I installed it myself very neatly. It has only been used for two seasons.
It is fully insulated with Armaflex, over which wooden cladding has been applied all around and finished with a strong matte lacquer.
A floor of concrete plywood lies over the insulation on the base, and on top of that is one-piece vinyl.
A good, large bed is important to me. That is why: 200 x 160 cm, 25 cm thick, formed with two pocket spring mattresses. (Which were protected by a topper while I was using them.) And fixed, not foldable, because you don't want to be dealing with that twice a day.
A two-burner gas stove. With sufficient space next to it to prepare food.
Below is a small refrigerator with a freezer compartment; this type is specially designed to consume little power.
Sink with running water from the water tank underneath. The drain leads to a grey water tank located next to it. Both tanks are easily accessible from the outside. There is some space next to the sink to place items. The swivel table can also be rotated outwards from the camper so that you can place food on it, for example, to serve.
Plenty of storage space. The bed has been raised to easily slide plastic bins from Xenos, on wheels, underneath. Two are available, 40 cm high and 60 cm long. (Optionally, you can pick them up in advance to store your clothes, so you won't need suitcases.)
The (optional) Porta Potti can also be placed under the bed; it is thoroughly cleaned after every use and always contains sufficient blue and red fluid. Toilet paper is included.
There is a deep cupboard for all cooking utensils. A small, deep, narrow cupboard for all rice, pasta, etc., and a drawer for cutlery and various small items. On the wall, long shelves for things you want to have within reach.
From the rear doors, there is also plenty of room in the garage for camping chairs, an extra water jerrycan, possibly a folding bike, etc.
Naturally, it is also equipped with a fire extinguisher and an airtight gas locker, ensuring the gas cylinders are stored safely.
I am making the camper available for rent because we cannot always use it ourselves and it is a shame to let this nice camper sit idle. It is also nice that we can cover part of the expenses with the proceeds.
It is also suitable for winter camping: it has a parking heater that runs on diesel fuel from the engine's tank.
For some people, it is less suitable for very mountainous terrain because it does not have a turbo. So (especially steeply) uphill, it is necessary to downshift and drive more slowly upwards. However, the engine itself is extremely powerful, and you will always make it.
OPTIONS:
-A bike carrier is available upon request. If you don't need it, it stays at home. If you do want it, you pay an extra 5 euros per day. It is a Eufab SD260. It can slide backwards with the bikes on it so that you can open the rear doors while the bikes are on it.
-The same applies to the porta potti: If you don't need it, it stays at home. If you do want it, you pay an extra 1 euro per day.
-The linen set: fresh bedding; pillows, fitted sheet, duvet, duvet cover, + two clean bath towels, clean hand towel and tea towel, a roll of paper towels. This is an option because some renters prefer to bring their own pillows, sometimes a mattress topper, and bedding. 5 euros per rental if you would like us to take care of this.
