Bessie is a nice 2.8 JTD Fiat Ducato alcove camper, over 6 meters long, with a pleasant interior where it is good to spend time.
Playing a game at the dinette (table), reading a book in the alcove while cooking in the kitchen—it is all possible at the same time in this camper, without getting in each other's way.
There is indoor seating for approximately 6 (up to a maximum of 8) people.
There is sleeping space for approximately 4 people (or approximately 2 adults and 3 children) when the dinette is converted. Without converting the dinette, there is standard sleeping space for 3 people; namely in the upper alcove and the sofa, which (with the slatted base extended) is a single bed.
The alcove at the top is a nice "sleeping and chilling spot," also lovely during the day for lying down and reading, watching a movie, or taking a nap. The alcove is accessible via a ladder and features a low gate to close it off so that small children cannot fall out.
The kitchenette is located at the back and is equipped with all kinds of cooking utensils such as pans, bowls, crockery, an oven, a kettle, etc.
It contains a three-burner gas stove and a refrigerator that runs on electricity and gas. At high temperatures (approximately above 35 degrees), the refrigerator might struggle to cope. In that case, it might help to use cold cooling packs that you placed in a freezer at a campsite.
Bessie features 6 seatbelts (5 three-point seatbelts and 1 lap belt). There is a toilet with ventilation and a small sink in the bathroom.
Bessie has a solar panel (110 W with inverter; 220V and 12V sockets available).
The hydraulic suspension and chip tuning make for a comfortable ride. It runs on diesel and consumes about 1 liter per 9 to 10 kilometers, depending on your speed. I like driving at 100 km/h; I personally find it a lovely cruising speed.
Bessie has a very sturdy, fixed bike rack that fits 3 bikes, including e-bikes.
A (small) motorcycle or scooter can also be placed on the back.
Including the bike rack, Bessie is approximately 6.60 meters long.
A linen package is available upon consultation for a fee.
We enjoy being able to share our Bessie with other campers, allowing others to enjoy fun camper adventures as well.
Do remember the environmental zones and the required vignettes that need to be purchased for your trip.
The times for picking up or dropping off Bessie are not fixed, but are by arrangement. You can park your car for free near our home if needed.
We hope you have lots of fun with our Bessie...!
