I have been the proud owner of this sturdy Mercedes 508 since 2016. It was the first camper I saw and I immediately fell in love. I am a photographer and my dream was to have a house on wheels with which I could discover the world. Where I could work (develop and print my rolls of film), sleep comfortably, prepare a delicious meal and stand upright. Betsy has all this!
I've been away for several months with it several times and it was a pleasure. Unfortunately, I have used it less lately and that is why I thought it would be nice to let other people experience this pleasure.
The camper is perfect for 1 to 4 people. Above the driver's cabin is a large double bed that you can pull out. In the middle of the camper there is a kitchen with refrigerator, a 4-burner gas stove and the necessary kitchen inventory. The indoor seating area is suitable for 4 people. This can also be converted into a small double bed (better on your own because it is a bit tight for two people). There is a toilet and sink in the back. Betsy has plenty of cupboard and storage space. If you really cannot store your belongings, there is always an extra roof box on top of the roof. This contains extra chairs, a hammock, and some camping gear, but there is still plenty of room!
You can enjoy the outdoors under the awning, there is a camping set with a table and chairs, a hammock and a barbecue. If you don't want to stay at a campsite for two or three nights or go out in colder weather, that is possible! Thanks to the extra household battery, 90 liter clean water tank, 80 liter LPG tank and the gas heater it contains.
Betsy is elderly but still in top condition. I always immediately experience a holiday feeling when I drive away. You shouldn't be in a hurry and want to drive 1000km in a day because that is not possible. With a maximum speed of 85 km/h you have to take it easy. I often don't take the highway but rather the smaller roads, so you see a lot more and experience a lot more.
The dimensions of the bus are: LxWxH = 700x210x320. You can drive it with a normal B driving license. For consumption you can assume 1 in 9.

Electricity
The camper has a 12-volt household battery that is charged while driving or via shore power at the campsite. There is also a separate 230 volt system that you can plug in at the campsite.
