I have been thoroughly enjoying my cozy bus Billie for the past few months!
Unfortunately, I cannot use her every week, so to allow other people to enjoy this freedom as well, and hopefully use the proceeds to fund her maintenance and future repair projects, I will rent her out occasionally!
Why Billie:
- Can go without power for several days, so camping is possible in the most beautiful spots! It has a brand-new battery that can charge via shore power, but also via a solar panel and while driving.
- Well maintained with +/- 215,000 on the odometer
- received a major service and new tires this year
- pop-up roof for standing room at the front of the van
- the front seat can swivel and a small table can be made at the kitchen unit, so sitting inside is possible in bad weather!
- well-functioning small fridge
- indoor and outdoor cooking possible
- comfortable chairs, table, picnic blanket, and hammock included if desired
- Bed linen/sheets included, bed is cozy for 2 people (120x180) but sleeps wonderfully
- cooking utensils included (pans, kettle, plates/bowls/cutlery/washing-up bowl, tea towels, washing-up liquid, sponge)
- clean and dirty water tank, with an optional extra jerrycan if you want to go off-grid for a long time
- make coffee with an Aeropress and grind your own beans if you want
- lighting, candles (incl. mosquito repellent) included
- if you like games like kubb and jeu de boule
- electric heater to be used when connected to shore power for cold weather
- insulation and blackout blinds for all windows included
- enough storage space for belongings and food
- By mutual agreement, items you don't think you need can be left behind to create more storage space.
- Enjoy a great drive with cruise control, Bluetooth radio, reversing sensors, and fits in a standard parking space!
Billie is a self-build, which means there are also a few little handy tips you need to know.
- detailed instructions will be given upon pickup
- the canvas of the pop-top roof is somewhat worn in some places; I haven't experienced any leaks myself during heavy rain yet, but of course, it can also be closed in bad weather.
- the bus is not fully insulated, so it gets chilly inside the bus when it is really cold.
- 1 cabinet is inaccessible when the bed is unfolded and 2 cabinets are inaccessible when you use it as a sofa; with some tactical packing, this poses no problems.
I work irregular hours, so there are no fixed days for pick-up or drop-off. Therefore, please discuss pick-up and drop-off times with me, but I will always try to find a solution with you!
