The A-Type has been a popular camper in the Friesland Campers range for many years. This spacious alcove camper combines a practical layout with great sleeping comfort, a generous garage, and very complete equipment. This makes it ideal for couples who like some extra space, but especially for families of up to four people.
A major advantage of the A-Type is the four fixed sleeping berths. Both the double bed at the rear and the spacious alcove bed above the cab can remain made up for the entire holiday. This means you do not have to convert the seating area in the evening and can go straight to bed after a long day of vacation.
Four permanent sleeping places
At the rear is a spacious fixed double bed measuring approximately 2.10 × 1.45 meters. The bed is positioned across the width of the camper, providing ample sleeping space. Surrounding the bed are windows, a roof hatch, and practical storage cupboards.
Located above the cabin is the spacious alcove bed, suitable for two people. This provides the A-Type with four full-size sleeping berths without compromising living space.
This is a particularly practical layout for families. For example, the children can sleep in the alcove, while the parents have their own fixed bed at the rear. The A-Type is also attractive for two people: you benefit from an abundance of extra living, sleeping, and storage space.
Cozy and spacious seating area
Centrally located in the camper is a comfortable seating area where you can eat together, relax, or play a game. The large windows provide plenty of natural light and give the interior a pleasant, spacious feel.
Because both sleeping areas have fixed beds, the seating area remains available during the day as well as in the evening. This is a major advantage, especially during longer holidays and on days with less pleasant weather.
In addition, the camper features various overhead cabinets, cupboards, and storage compartments, so that clothing and personal belongings can easily be given a designated place.
Spacious garage and plenty of storage space
A large garage is located under the fixed double bed at the rear. It is easily accessible from the outside and offers plenty of space for luggage, camping chairs, a table, and other holiday essentials.
This means you do not have to store large items in the living area, and the interior remains neat and organized, even during a longer trip.
At the rear, the camper also features a reinforced bicycle rack suitable for carrying electric bicycles.
Complete kitchen for on the go
The A-Type features a fully equipped kitchen with cooking facilities, a sink, a refrigerator, and ample cupboard and storage space. This allows you to easily cook your own meals on the road, whether you are staying at a motorhome site for one night or travelling through Europe for several weeks.
At Friesland Campers, you also receive an extensive kitchen inventory. This includes crockery, glasses, cutlery, pans, and cooking utensils, among other things. Additionally, the camper is equipped with a combination microwave, coffee maker, and kettle.
So you don't have to bring half your kitchen from home: everything will be ready for you upon departure.
Private shower and toilet
You are also completely independent when it comes to sanitary facilities. The A-Type features its own shower, toilet, and washbasin. As a result, you are much less dependent on the sanitary facilities at a campsite or motorhome site while on the road.
The combi boiler provides heating and hot water. This makes the A-Type not only suitable for a summer holiday, but also comfortable during cooler days in the spring and autumn.
Air conditioning in the cabin as well as the living and sleeping area
During hot holidays, good air conditioning is particularly pleasant. The A-Type therefore features not only air conditioning in the cabin while driving, but also air conditioning in the living and sleeping area.
After a hot day on holiday, you can cool down the camper to a pleasant temperature. This is a great advantage, especially during warm summer nights in countries like France, Italy, or Spain, allowing you to sleep comfortably at night.
Comfortable and reliable on the road
The A-Type is built on the reliable Fiat Ducato chassis and equipped with a MultiJet ECO Euro 6 engine. The combination of a comfortable high seating position, sufficient power, and a stable chassis makes the camper suitable for both long motorway journeys and trips through hilly and mountainous terrain.
Various support systems contribute to safety and stability on the road, including electronic stability control (ESP), Hill Holder, rollover mitigation, and Servotronic power steering.
Would you like even more driving comfort? The A-Type is also available with an automatic transmission for a surcharge of €7.50 per day. Especially during long travel days, heavy traffic, and mountainous routes, an automatic transmission ensures an extra relaxed driving experience.
Smart navigation through Europe
Every A-Type features special camper navigation in which the dimensions of the camper are pre-set. This allows the size of the vehicle to be taken into account during route planning, reducing the risk of ending up on an unsuitable route with, for example, a low clearance or a road that is too narrow.
In addition, the navigation includes ACSI campsites and motorhome pitches throughout Europe. This allows you to easily search for a suitable campsite or overnight stay while on the road.
