Debie The Van – Self-build Mercedes Sprinter surf bus

HELLO! We are Yana & Dennis, a couple from Ghent who in 2019 converted a garden contractor's van into a real house-on-wheels!

Yana and I started building our van in February 2019, after a lot of blood, sweat and tears we left for our first big trip in September 2019. During our trip to Greece, Debie introduced us to the perfect 'vanlife': breathtaking places, vast sea views, beers with other vanlifers/travellers,... Debie provided us with a 2-month carefree holiday.

After our trip we decided to share Debie with other travelers. Debie is not a factory camper, so do not expect a separate toilet and shower room. These possibilities are present but have been addressed and provided by us in a creative way (a porta-potti and an outdoor shower can be found with us). Debie is therefore a perfect bus for adventurous trips throughout Europe and is a true synonym for freedom! All luxury is present, but Debie retains the 'incognito/stealth look' so that you can spend the night in beautiful places and in plein nature without any worries.

Debie is perfect for 'slow-travelling'. Take your time and enjoy the beautiful nature that the country has to offer. We often travel around with our Debie. Feel free to ask us for nice places to stay and discover our secret spots ;). We have already crossed with Debie:

SAFETY FIRST:
- VAB Breakdown Assistance: With our bus we are affiliated with the VAB. This allows you to travel carefree almost throughout Europe.
-Comprehensive insurance for third parties (rental): Our bus is comprehensively insured, which means that in the event of damage (by you or someone else), the damage is covered. The deductible is at your own expense.

Debie is not a factory camper but a self-made house on wheels. We built our bus with a lot of love. We therefore expect that we travel with the right care and respect with our Debie (which has become a bit of our baby).
