At just under 6 meters long—and only slightly wider (2.05m) than the well-known VW California minivan—it maintains its driving and parking ease. With a height of almost 3 meters, this campervan offers ample space and comfort for a fantastic holiday... although you do need to be careful around low bridges, certain parking spaces, and low-hanging tree branches.

This recent Grand California was built on a powerful VW Crafter L4 with 177 hp and is equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission and numerous options to make your ride safer and more comfortable: adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, hill-start assist, crosswind assist, a reversing camera, and both front and rear parking sensors. The onboard computer easily connects to your smartphone, which you can simply place in the provided holder.

The living area features high-quality finishes and tasteful design and lighting. The removable dining table seats four, with the front seats reversible. In cold weather, you can heat the camper with a Truma heating system, and in hot weather, you can turn on the air conditioning.

The kitchen unit is equipped with a spacious (70L) refrigerator with freezer compartment, a two-burner gas stove, and a sink. Cooking for yourself during your holiday is a pleasure, even in inclement weather. Prefer to cook outside? A large awning protects you from rain and excessive sun. You can also set up the table outside the kitchen unit, and there are two folding camping chairs and a small camping table integrated into the rear doors. The camper is equipped with crockery, glasses, and cutlery for four people. There are also pans, pots, a cutting board, etc., and even an Omnia gas oven (complete with cookbook).

The practical bathroom features a fold-down sink, a chemical toilet, and a (hot) shower. It's also a convenient place to hang wet clothes if you're traveling in a damp or cold environment. Prefer an outdoor shower? That's also possible, with a connection and shower hose built into the trunk... also handy for hosing down your bike!

The Grand California has a large 110L fresh water tank and a 90L waste water tank. There are USB and 230V outlets in several locations, so you can easily charge your electrical equipment anywhere.

The rear transverse bed is spacious, measuring 1.93m x 1.36m. The mattresses provide good support and are placed on saucers for extra comfort; an additional mattress topper is available for rent. The cozy loft bed under the roof accommodates one adult or two children. It measures 1.90m x 1.60m x 1.22m and is designed for a maximum weight of 150kg. It includes fall protection and a ladder. Protective fitted sheets are provided. You must provide your own bed linens, blankets/sleeping bags, and pillows during the rental period.

The spacious trunk under the partially folding transverse bed offers ample space for luggage. Whether you're a cyclist, climber, hiker, or a lover of culture or water fun, you'll find room for most things! A Thule bike rack for two bikes is mounted on the rear door.
