Motorhome and Campervan Hire in Langenboom

We hired Michelle & Fayaz’s gorgeous van Haystacks to drive the North Coast 500 over ten days in May 2026. In the lead up to the trip they couldn’t have been more helpful in answering any questions about the van and its contents. Likewise with the handover, they were so welcoming and showed us everything we needed to know. They were also on hand via Watsapp or phone if we had any questions en route. The trip was brilliant, a real adventure, and to have the van to sleep in, cook, keep warm and relax made for a real home from home. The beds were cosy and comfortable with the option of heating on a chilly day or night. The kitchen was kitted out with everything we needed and the lighting was great too. The van had lots of thoughtful touches such as travel books and puzzles. It was our first time experiencing van life and we loved it. Thank you!

Fantastic motorhome and a fantastic host. Alison's motorhome is roomy, economical and cosy. The double bed is very comfy, the kitchen is good and everything is easy to use. Alison was very flexible with our travel arrangements and we cannot thank her enough. Would definitely book this van again!

We had an excellent experience with this motorhome from start to finish. Over 5 days we covered around 1,500 miles, and I can honestly say driving the Kub was an absolute pleasure. It was incredibly easy to handle and made long journeys feel effortless. The motorhome came fully stocked with everything we needed, including all the kitchen utensils, which made life on the road really convenient. It truly felt like a home away from home. Owen, who owns and rents out the motorhome, was fantastic. He was friendly, approachable, and always easy to get hold of whenever we had a question. He even sent helpful videos to guide us through anything we needed, which made the whole experience stress-free. The sleeping setup was one of the real highlights. The over-cab bed was extremely easy to unfold and felt very secure and spacious. It comfortably sleeps two adults — I’m 6ft and had plenty of room to stretch out, which isn’t always the case in motorhomes. The mattress was supportive and made for a great night’s sleep after long days on the road. The rear double bed was equally impressive — very comfortable and perfect for a proper rest. My children absolutely loved it and slept brilliantly every night. Both sleeping areas felt well designed, cosy without being cramped, and worked perfectly for a family setup. Storage space throughout the motorhome was excellent. There was plenty of room for all our luggage, food, and day-to-day essentials without it ever feeling cluttered. The overhead cupboards, under-seat storage, and rear areas were really practical and easy to access, which made staying organised on a longer trip simple and stress-free. Considering the size of the vehicle, it was relatively economical on diesel, which was another big plus over such a long trip. Overall, I have zero complaints — everything was smooth, easy, and exactly as described. I would highly recommend both renting through Goboony and booking with Owen. We wouldn’t hesitate to do it again!

Billy is a super laid back dude, handover both ways went very smooth and stressless. We went full-on with Big Bertha, starting in Edinburgh, Ben Lamond, Three Sisters(we wanted to go to Loch Etive through "skyfall road", but Scottish single-file roads scared us in the beginning, so we cut that out of our plan). Then we moved towards Skye and stayed there for about three days visiting Sligachan Waterfalls, Old Man of Storr, The Quiraing, Fairy Glen, Coral Beach, Neist Point and Talisker. When we returned to mainland, the road took us north, all the way to Dunnet Head. On our 3-day long way back to Edinburgh we saw Peedie Sands, Duncansby Stacks, Castle Sinclair, Chanonry Point, Clava Cairns, Cairgorm Mountain, Loch Rannoch and finally The Hermitage. We spent last night in Silverdyke campervan parking in lovely coastal village of Cellardyke. As for the motorhome itself - we had some problems with leisure battery not charging during driving, so initially we didn't use hot water etc, but we were in constant contact with Billy and he went above and beyond to try and fix the issue by arranging mobile mechanic(Robert - Crofts and Lochs engineering, brilliang guy) TWICE! Somewhere in the middle of our trip Billy got us a brand new battery and with recent fixes we finally had everything we could dream of in a motorhome - Lights, hot water, all of it. We never stayed in one place for more than 1 night and we were mostly off-grid so overall I think Big Bertha did alright. Plenty of space for 3 people, quite good condition, drives ok without unpleasant surprises:)

Smooth handover , very helpful and Michael gave thorough instructions of campervan! Very helpful! Lovely to drive, loads of space for our stuff for festival! Enjoyed the stay in campervan! The electric hook up was ideal and perfect for our weekend! Thoroughly enjoyed and well recommended !

What a fantastic car! The Subi quickly became part of our travel party, or so it felt. Even packed to the brim with a roof tent, bike rack, and electric bikes, it didn't complain. The tent was very cozy and the sleeping arrangements were better than some of the hotels we occasionally booked along the way. What a wonderful vacation!

We had a lovely journey and a stay at a festival in James'es camper. The camper had everything that we needed and is very well kitted out. We shall definitely look to hire this van again. Highly recommended. Timo
