Iona – LWB 4 Berth VW Transporter with 'king size' bed & pop top

Welcome to Iona, our 2014 LWB T5.1, located on the edge of Yeovil in Somerset, with easy access to the A303 and M5 and the delights of Dorset, Devon and Cornwall.

Iona was converted in 2022 to a family campervan with a full width (150cm) king size bed (using a combination of the 130cm RIB bed and over storage cushions to give you plenty of room to spread out when sleeping).

Seating 5 adults in comfort, Iona includes driver and passenger captains chairs and three isofix compatible rear seats within the Rib 130 bed. She is equipped with a fridge (with small freezer tray), single gas burner (camping gas included) and all the basics you need, cutlery, utensils, mugs, glasses etc.

Iona is a 140ps 1.9 T5.1 (T32), with a manual 6 speed gearbox, this gives you plenty of power even when fully loaded. She is a joy to drive and can park a standard parking space (only restriction is she is 2.2m high so many multi-story car parks are too low for her!). To make those longer drives more enjoyable she is fitted with an apple car play compatible head unit allowing your phone to extend into the dashboard for navigation and music. She is air conditioned and includes a dashboard wireless charging bracket for both driver and passenger as standard.

Key features:
Battery/electric hook-up with USB, 12v car adapter and 13-amp sockets within the kitchen unit.
Solar panel to top-up the battery during the day and allow the fridge to operate for extended periods away from a hook-up.
Diesel heater for those colder evenings, allowing Iona to be used all year.
Gas safe, protecting you in case there is any issue with the camping gas cylinder and giving you easy access to control the gas supply (especially on ferry and train crossings).
3m wind-out awning for sun/rain cover.
Small portable toilet (I ask you empty this before you return the van please), I will supply it setup ready for use and some replacement chemicals should you need to change the water during your trip).
I supply two small camping tables and 2 camping chairs as standard, I can provide additional chairs if required.

Optional extras:

Drive away awning: I offer the option to include a small blow-up awning (suitable for 2 people to sleep in). Extra £50 per hire
Bedding/towels: Not included as standard, I can supply mattress toppers for both sleeping spaces and duvet/pillows if required - extra £20 per hire per bedding set.

Any damage to the camper, it’s fixtures and fittings or equipment will be charged via Go Boony from the holding deposit.

Note she is classed a van over 3000kg (N1), so lower UK speed restrictions apply:
30mph in built up/residential areas (20mph in Wales), 50mph on a single carriageway (same when towing), 60mph on a dual carriageway, 70mph on a motorway. You accept responsibility for any traffic offenses committed during the hire.

If you are arriving by car you are welcome to park on my drive in Iona's space while your away. Please contact us if you are arriving on public transport or by air (Bristol airport is less than 1 hour from me) and I can try to help you with the logistics of getting to Iona!

I ask that you treat her as your home from home and return her in the condition that you collected her.
