Compact bus camper with many useful extras

My Pössl Roadcamp is a wonderful, compact camper and only 5.40 m long (excluding the folding bike carrier with bikes), which means you can easily go anywhere. To charming small villages with narrow streets and to parking lots for regular cars. You drive it like a large passenger car, even uphill. If you are somewhat large in build, the camper is not really suitable for you.
There are many extras:
- An awning that allows you to sit comfortably outside even in drizzling rain.
- Outdoor lighting, so you can still read when it is dark outside.
- On the outside, a gas connection to which you can quickly and easily connect the gas barbecue (Cadac, Safari Chef 2).
- An outdoor tap, so you can enjoy a nice shower outside (with hot water too).
- A solar panel and inverter that makes you less dependent on electricity at a campsite.
- An electrical connection on the outside, near the bicycle rack, for charging the e-bikes.
- You can charge your bike's battery while riding.
- Insect screen at the rear and a screen door.
- Many extra power outlets and USB connections.
- A third option on the bike rack for a road bike, for example.

I never hand over the camper on the return day. We are therefore flexible regarding when the camper can be dropped off or picked up; my schedule is the deciding factor.

In the summer of 2022, we toured Norway for 7 weeks and stayed at the most beautiful camper sites without facilities (see photos). Consequently, we made extensive use of the outdoor shower. It was often quite cold, but we discovered that taking a warm shower in the cold is wonderful.

At home, we have a bed that is 1.80 meters wide, so we were very curious how the relatively narrow bed would suit us as over-65s at the time. It turned out to be fine: a fixed bed with a good mattress. If you are taller than 1.85 meters, this camper is also a bit less suitable for you because the bed is 1.95 meters long.
We regularly received requests from couples with a (young) child. This camper is definitely not suitable for that.

There is plenty of closet space. There is enough luggage space under the bed. Inside are the chairs, table, and six practical boxes containing, among other things, a small electric heater (gas heating is also standard).
Both front seats are swivelable and very comfortable. This is pleasant for driving and for when you want to sit inside the camper because it is still too cold outside. The table sits in a sliding rail and can be adjusted to various positions, which is nice as it creates space. However, because the table leg can get in the way, you can also place the table in a separate stand, so it can no longer slide. Since we rarely used the bench, we converted it into a cupboard. This eliminates the bench, but you do gain extra storage space.
You can enjoy your coffee with the sliding door open if sitting outside is too chilly. Prepare your lunch on the go or even cook.
When the bikes are on the rack, the rear luggage compartment remains accessible because the Busbiker (bike carrier) can swivel away. It can carry three bikes with a total weight of 80 kg. So electric bikes can come along!

I rent out the camper fully equipped with inventory such as kitchen equipment, chairs, a table, games, a shower tent, and other practical items.
There is a mattress protector, mattress pad, and fitted sheet on the mattress. You need to provide your own pillows, duvet, and towels. I will email you a complete inventory list upon request. We have also created a folder with photos and homemade instructions for everything in the camper, so nothing can go wrong. I clean the camper regularly with the steam cleaner.

The camper is old but is well maintained. Every spring, there is a camper check by a professional company (Vogelezang in Alphen aan den Rijn).
And every year, I have the camper's engine completely checked during the MOT.
Since the passing of my husband Wilke, a friend and fellow camper has been repairing things that break, to the extent that I am unable to do so myself.
