Kermit is a very neat and wonderfully original VW T4 California pop-top camper for enjoying freedom and adventure. Rock-solid and rugged, and above all super practical for a few days or a long holiday through Europe. You can also go completely off-grid because a solar panel is mounted on the roof. This allows you to go without electricity for an entire holiday. Your fridge stays nice and cold. And camping costs are significantly lower, because you aren't using any power! Please note, an extra 12V fridge of your own or similar is of course not possible. The system simply cannot produce that much power.
You can park it anywhere a normal car fits. It also fits in parking garages up to 2 meters. With its two swivel front seats and small table, you have a cozy seating area for 4 people in no time, for a cup of coffee or lunch on the go, or for a game in the evening.
Kermit has a wonderfully smooth-running 5-cylinder 2.4 diesel engine with a 5-speed gearbox. A quick and rock-solid combination that easily averages 14.5 km/liter.
Really anyone can drive this VW T4. It offers good visibility and is no bigger than a normal passenger car.
What makes this camper unique is that it is officially equipped with 6 seats, thanks to an extra middle bench. The middle bench is, of course, removable for extra space. It has 4 sleeping berths: two under the pop-up roof and two downstairs on the folding bench. You have two nice, flat beds where you can sleep well. A Fiamma bicycle carrier for 3 bikes is mounted on the rear.
Kermit is equipped with all conveniences, such as a fixed USB charger 2x 2.1 A, a sink with a shower tap, a 2-burner gas hob inside and an extra 2-burner gas hob for cooking outside, a refrigerator and a parking heater for cold evenings, and an awning for warm sunny days. A table and 4 camping chairs are also included.
All kitchen utensils, pans, cutlery and Mepal crockery, clothesline, clothespins, dish towels, hand towels, lighter, etc. are present, and almost everything is green, of course! We include the mattress covers as well.
The only things you need to bring yourself are the bedding and pillows. We think it's much more hygienic that way.
