Meet Blanche!
Blanche is a converted Volkswagen Crafter, a reliable and not too big van, ideal for getting anywhere you want!
The bus is uniquely equipped and furnished with an eye for detail and user-friendliness. Every space has a function and purpose.
The automatic transmission makes for a smooth ride, especially for long distances and traffic jams. The bus also features cruise control and CarPlay/Android Auto for playing your favorite tunes or navigating with ease.
The kitchenette is equipped with 3 gas burners, 1 large and 2 small, an oven, a pump basin with drainage to the grey water tank, cold and hot water, a fridge with freezer compartment and plenty of space to store all your cooking utensils.
The sleeping area features a pull-out bed; the two "pillows" along the sides serve as extensions of the mattress to create a bed 1.90 m long and 1.40 m wide. There's also storage space right next to the bed on both sides, which makes the bed feel larger. I'm 1.85 m tall and can sleep perfectly in the bed.
For electricity, there's a 200Ah battery that charges via the alternator, shore power, or the solar panel. The inverter can deliver a maximum power of 1500W at 230V, so keep this in mind if you're connecting a kettle that draws more power, for example. There's also a small 6L electric water heater, allowing you to wash dishes or shower with hot water!
A dry toilet can be found under the seat. The fold-out table is currently a bit stiff; it's bulged a bit due to the winter weather, but with a little brute force, you can fold it in and out.
We expect a clean bus upon return, so we don't charge a cleaning fee. A clean bus means: an empty trash can, an empty toilet, a clean floor, an empty and tidy pump tank, a clean floor, and any other dirty items.
The spices, gas canisters, cleaning products, and soap remain in the bus. You will need to bring your own bedding, towels, cooking utensils, cutlery, plates, and a water bottle for drinking water (it is best not to drink tap water).
I hope you have as much adventure and fun with Blanche as I did! :)
