Driving
The Evo5 is powered by the latest Ford 2.0L Euro6 Diesel engine, which with 130BHP and an automatic gearbox make this motorhome and absolute breeze to drive. It offers excellent fuel economy, and comes fully loaded with driving aids such as Cruise Control, ABS, ESP, ASR, Hill Start Assist, Rear View Camera, Extra-Large Mirrors, and an On-board Computer. The entertainment system is fully integrated with speakers throughout, and Bluetooth connectivity for easy connection to your phone, laptop or hard drive. Just jump in, adjust your seat and mirrors, get your favourite playlist lined up, and you’re ready for the road trip of a lifetime!
Living
The spacious seating/dining area is fitted with luxurious ergonomic seats with adjustable headrests, is well catered for with power outlets and USB charging ports, and even features dimmable LED mood lighting. The dining table is removable, and the seats have pull out extensions which can be used to extend the seating at the table to 6 positions, whilst the cab seats are both leather captain’s chairs which are fitted on swivel mounts to allow for a more sociable configuration when parked up.
The van has a gas combi boiler for space and water heating which is controlled via a simple to use touch display above the main door. This also provides information on the water tank levels, charging and electrical system, entertainment systems, and can be used to control the interior and exterior lighting. This is particularly handy when it comes to leaving the van, as everything can be turned off easily as you leave, and on again when you return.
There is plentiful storage with aircraft style overhead storage compartments throughout the living area, in addition to a large wardrobe space, various cubbyholes and several elasticated wall storage pockets… not to mention the cavernous garage at the back!
Sleeping
The van has 6 full sized berths, two of which are fixed transverse double beds (a handy feature which avoids having to setup/take down beds each day) with memory foam mattresses, built in LED reading lights and beside storage units. The seating/dining area is easily converted into a third double bed, and the fixed beds both have retractable privacy curtains which can be used to separate the living area into zones, and bed barriers to keep children and active sleepers contained. All the sleeping areas are near to a window for ventilation, and all windows have retractable flynets and black out blinds fitted… perfect for a sneaky mid-afternoon catnap!
Cooking
The compact kitchen is well laid out and comprises a 3 burner gas hob, oven/grill, sink with mixer tap, and a large 14L slimline fridge with separate beer/wine cooling compartment. There is amble under unit larder space, and crockery and cutlery for 6 is provided along with a full set of pots, pans, and cooking utensils. Everything you need for a self-catering motorhome holiday is provided, except for one key ingredient… I’m afraid you do need to provide your own food!
Toilet/Shower
Not typically a feature worth mentioning, but the Evo5 smashes motorhome convention by divorcing the toilet and the showering facilities to create an ultra-luxurious bathroom (by motorhome standards – no more sit showers & wet toilet seats!) with two distinct rooms. The large and comfortable cassette toilet is located in the first room, which provides a large well-lit mirror and plenty of space to get dressed in comfort post-shower, whilst the wash hand basin is located in the separate shower room. The shower features a ceiling mounted oversize rainfall head, and shower tray with a removable floor pan which maximises headroom and provides comfortable clearance for even the tallest of occupants. The sink is also fitted with a pull out mixer tap which doubles as a 2nd shower head, and hot water is provided on demand through the gas combi boiler and large on-board fresh water tank. It’s just like being in a hotel… only smaller, and without the room service and free shampoo!
Additional Equipment
The van is kitted out with everything you need for a self-catering motorhome adventure, including basic consumables such as cleaning and dish washing products, toilet roll & chemical tablets, and gas for cooking and heating. Fresh bed linen and towels can also be provided for a small additional fee, and we also offer a range of additional accessories for al fresco cooking/dining/relaxing that are available to our customers for hire or loan separately. Please enquire once your booking is confirmed and these additional items can be arranged on request.
