I first hired a campervan to test it out and then after a long time of wanting one, finally I managed to get one! She looks new and has been upgraded and well looked after.
She's toffee brown in colour, so aptly named Toffee Apple! She has a lovely, leather interior. There are conveniently added USB ports and a pull-up extension featuring three additional electric sockets to those shown in the photos. The solar power panel keeps the fridge running for longer than the leisure battery alone. If you want to take advantage of the many additional sockets then you will need to access electric hook-up (EHU). If you're on EHU then I have a small heater which you can plug in and use too should you wish.
The van sleeps four, but I suggest that it sleeps 3 comfortably! My 9 year old daughter sleeps in the pop-top and unless you have 2 very small children then space would probably become an issue. There's a portable ladder to provide easy access to the pop-top.
So far, we've used the van for lots of day trips, hot breakfast sandwiches and cups of tea! We've taken her down to Poole and it was great to have our own sheltered picnic area on the breezy days. We've camped more locally with friends at Quorn too and had plenty of sleepovers on our drive!!
She's an ideal mini home when we're at my daughter's football matches. She's also great for days out walking (we take her to Bradgate Park) and having a base to come back to and being self sufficient for warm drinks and food before heading home. We're hoping for far more trips away this year, I have a long list, but unfortunately we're restricted by holiday allowance!!
One thing to note about where you're heading, she's not an off-road adventurer. Her alloys are pretty but cosmetic and we found out the hard way that she won't handle very bumpy ground. That's not to say that she can't handle a slowly driven camp site ground avoiding pesky pot holes. Recently she had an alloy welded and a new tyre to take account of some damage. So I'm obviously keen to make sure that's not a regular occurrence.
I've just had the stereo system upgraded to feature Apple Car Play so there's a great sound system and up-to-date navigation too.
There are 2 adult sized camping chairs and a cube seat, which you can use for outdoors.
I'm saving for an awning and a diesel heater but they're only wishes on my Santa list for now!
The collection and drop off times are listed as Saturday and Sunday, but if you get in touch to ask then I may be able to offer flexibility during the week too, especially if you are looking for a short break (if I'm able then I will).
Overall, we want you to enjoy your trip away and have a great time making memories in the camper van.

Thanks for reading.
