Cookie – Cookie the Campervan (2020)

Cookie, the road-trip-loving campervan can’t wait to have you! She can sleep 2x adults in the rear transverse double bed, 2x children in the pull-down double bed and the dinette converts to sleep 1x child. (Please note there are only 4x belted seats though). She is perfectly suitable for a couple or small family.

Measuring in at only 5.99 metres long and easy to manoeuvre with her reversing camera, Cookie is as at home on single-tracks roads as she is in urban car parks. This also means that she falls into the cheaper category for ferry tolls and suchlike. Do beware of height barriers and low bridges though as she’s tall at 3m (10’) high!

If you fancy a super easy, chilled time out at a serviced site, simply plug in to the hook-up and make the most of the on site facilities - think spacious, hot showers and flushing loos. Or maybe you’ve run out of clean undies and need do a load of laundry! Serviced sites give you a bit more space and the opportunity to meet like-minded campers.

Or if the rugged outdoors is more up your street, use the solar panels to power your off-grid experience and enjoy the convenience of an on-board bathroom complete with hot running water. The kitchen contains all you need for enjoying the comforts of a home-cooked supper: double gas hob, sink, fridge/freezer and all the crockery, utensils and pans you need to feed a hungry family.

We will provide a welcome pack and all the essentials you’re likely to need (eg loo roll, kitchen roll, soaps, fluffy bath and beach towels) to allow you to focus on packing the important things like yummy food and nice wine. Oh, maybe pack some clothes too!

If al fresco dining is on the cards, make use of the awning, CADAC gas BBQ (uses Cookie’s LPG supply) and camping table. Settle into a comfy camping chair and enjoy the sunset.

We can’t alway be guaranteed dry, sunny holidays here in old Blighty so there is an outdoor hose for washing down muddy boots and children.

There are 220V and USB sockets galore so you needn’t miss your current Netflix binge if you don’t want to.

We do have one polite request that Cookie’s loo is used for number 1’s only, please. We appreciate that there may be the odd ‘emergency’, especially when travelling with young children, but in the main, as Cookie is being rented out, we’d like to keep her as clean and tidy as possible. We ask that on her return, the hirer empty and clean the chemical toilet (instructions will be provided), fill up her diesel tank, remove perishables and leave dirty linen in bags provided. Daily cleaning supplies will be provided but please be assured, deep cleaning of the entire van will take place before and after every rental. (We don’t all take kindly to small country roads so a supply of sick bags are provided too).

Cookie is sent off for her routine habitation and vehicle servicing holidays so you can be reassured that your safety whilst in the van is paramount. Carbon monoxide detector, smoke alarm and fire extinguisher are fitted/supplied. Cookie also has a vehicle alarm to secure your belongings (and herself!) and a setting that allows you to lock Cookie at night but isn’t set off when you get up in the night time to raid the fridge. A wheel clamp is also provided for use when you feel necessary.

We can offer free off-street parking for your own car so there’s nothing to delay the start of your adventure. We can also supply 2x high-backed booster seats for children (NB there are no ISOFIX fittings).

We aspire to create the perfect, hassle-free get-away-from-it-all experience, with a touch of luxury for good measure! We’ve done all the boring stuff so all you should need to do is rock up with your supplies and hit the road. We’ll be in touch once your booking is confirmed to enquire as how you’d like the beds configured (we like to use 100% cotton bed linen so the beds are just as comfy and cosy as yours at home - no need for sleeping bags here!) and find out if you have any special requirements.

We hope you find our pricing straightforward - there are no hidden extras. Everything you see listed in the inventory is available for your use at no extra cost. Equally, if there are items on there that are surplus to your requirements we can remove them so you’re not lugging them around unnecessarily, thereby making more space for your own personal belongings.

(Inclusive mileage is currently limited to 1000miles per week with each additional mile charged at 40p per mile. This is subject to change and may be negotiated dependent on your requirements).
