Our lovely Daphne is well looked after and provides you with a comfortable get away home, allowing you to explore the countryside and coastline, having your very own outdoor adventures. We are ideally situated near the coastal town of Salcombe and Kingsbridge, and only half an hour from Totnes station. Experience sitting out under the stars having a BBQ with the Cadac stove provided, sipping on a cold beer from the fridge or looking out over the stunning coast watching the sun go down. Easy access to Dartmoor with its beautiful ponies roaming free.
Daphne has had a brand new roof canvas fitted April 2024 and the AC has been recharged last year.
One of the most important aspects to consider is the sleeping arrangements, and particular attention has been paid to this in the Pro Levante conversion that Daphne has. The back seat is a super comfortable 46”/117cm wide, 4”/10cm thick rock n’ roll bed which when upright in the seating position can sit 2 seat belted passengers. Her roof will elevate to reveal another sleeping space with bed (for 2 children/teenagers) and comfy 1.5”/4cm mattress/topper. Not that it needs it, but if you are camping on your own or as a couple, the mattress in the elevating roof bed fits perfectly onto the rock n’ roll bed as an additional topper making it extra luxurious! Blackout curtains and a windscreen blocker all ensure you have a good night sleep.
We have new double duvets and pillows for this year and can provide bed linen if required (£20 per booking payable to me on pickup).
Daphne has on board a twin gas hob, fridge/freezer, sink and the kitchen is well stocked with cutlery, kitchen utensils, crockery, pans, chopping boards, colander, kettle, toaster.
The double passenger seat swivels around to face into the van which teams up with a detachable table making dining for 4 simple and easy! Under the double passenger seat is extra storage as well as a storage cupboard in the living area and boot area.
Daphne is also stocked with cleaning materials so you can leave her in the condition you found her.
Camping tables and chairs (Picnic table, low coffee table and up to 4 chairs) are available on request (no charge).
She has an electric hook-up cable for campsite stays, a USB connection, 3 pin plug socket and extension cable if required.
For any wet days you may have, we provide playing cards, Uno, Monopoly Deal and a quiz. If you're keen to do any cycling, please bring your bikes, Daphne's bike rack supports up to 2 bicycles.
We are flexible with our pick up and drop off times, allowing you to have full arrival and departure days. If you arrive by car, we have plenty of off-road parking (no charge).
