So this is our very rare Dreamer Camper Five. We have two children, and also go away by ourselves, so researched long and hard about the perfect van set up for us, and this hit the mark.
It has two single beds at the back - bunk beds that are always set up which is just perfect as bed set up is such a faff. Kids duvets etc can all be left on it. It also has a little seating area at the back with it's own table. However if you are a couple, you can remove both the rear bunks and table for extra storage so it's incredibly versatile. Or even keep the bottom bunk and use it as an extra lounge.
It has a great kitchen with a huge fridge freezer, bigger than most in a house. Great for cooking bulk and storing in the fridge! Good storage throughout and handy large storage area under the bottom bunk for inflatable kayaks, skateboards, wellies etc
It has two rear belted seats for kids or adults. The dining and seating area has an added L-shape section and also captain swivel seats so easy to fit around the table with lots of room. The flexibility of the table and seating is a real winner for. So easy for a family of four to move around in.
The best part is the double bed that drops down from the ceiling and can be put away with bedding and all when not in use. Plenty of head room when it's up doesn't impact roof height at all. In fact the dining area can still be used to sit around even when the bed is down.
In two years and travelling around Europe we've never seen another campervan like it. It blends space, practicality and is very easy to drive and squeeze down narrow lanes unlike traditional motorhomes - ideal if you want to venture into busy cities on your road trips or go exploring off the beaten track. In fact it won Out & About Live's Best Family Van Conversion - "All in all, this is an immensely practical camper for a family with two and there’s nothing else like it."
We've added quite a few extras to this van :
- Thule Awning
- Solar Panels
- Two Leisure Batteries
- Inverter (plug in appliances, laptops etc when not on electric hookup)
- Shower at the back (kids get sandy or whatever can have outside shower)
- Underfloor Heating
- Habitation Air Con Unit
With the underfloor heating, combi diesel boiler and insulated habitation it's also ideal for colder days so you can stay nice and toasty. We have also included cutlery, plates, bowls, pans, mugs, kettle, toaster and coffee stovetop. Bedding isn't provided as we found people prefer to use their own sheets, pillows and duvets.
Pick up and drop off times can be flexible to suit your needs. Just let me know what you need.
