Welcome! It's nice that you are interested in renting our Silverstar camper bus, a Volkswagen, Transporter T5 equipped with the correct environmental vignettes, so that you can easily get into the cities. A reliable self-build camper that has been in our possession for three years now. Our adult children made full use of it this summer and after Lowlands Silverstar will be on our doorstep again.
Our simple, practical camper is suitable for 2 adults and possibly 2 young children. There are 4 seats with belts. But it is best to use the bus with two people. It has a household battery and a small refrigerator of X liters so you can camp off grid for about 2 or 3 days. There is also a 12V connection to charge your phone and the USB lighting.
Silverstar does not have an indoor kitchen, but an extendable kitchen unit at the rear. So you can cook outside under the canopy of the tailgate. The slide-out kitchen (refrigerator, burners, sink) offers plenty of space for storing your food. There is an Omnia camping oven available. If the weather is bad, there is a tent canopy available. If you want to quickly make coffee or eat a sandwich on the go, there is also the option to eat in the living area with a fold-out door as a table. If you stand a little longer, you can attach a table inside and create a seat by rotating the driver's seat and the passenger's seat. I regularly worked with my laptop at the table on the bus for work.
If you would like to bring a porta-potti, this can be arranged in consultation. We have one. It will be at the expense of your living space, but you can also place the porta-potti outside or under the tent canvas of the tailgate. You will not find a shower in this type of camper van, but as an adventurer you can of course also "shower" off the grid with the available water bag. After a few days it is useful to drive a bit to charge the battery and replenish clean water.
There is plenty of storage space for clothes under the passenger seat. As soon as you arrive and raise the lifting roof, you can place additional items such as jackets or a weekend bag “upstairs”.
Extras.
Silverstar is equipped with a retractable awning and a bicycle carrier for 2 bicycles that can be attached to the towbar. The bus is equipped with tinted glass at the rear, but for extra darkening you will find a suction cup system on the inside of the windows. This way it stays nice and dark and cool. We have two mattress toppers available for extra comfort. Sheets are supplied.
