2p Mercedes fire brigade bus from 1982

'@vrolijkopreis' is written on this bus and it is the Instagram page of Bas and Bianca who bought this bus and converted it into a camper.
I bought it from them in 2022 because I thought the interior was nice and complete and the bus is in good condition. Since then I have driven it alone to Portugal and Switzerland and traveled extensively through the Netherlands.
What I didn't know in advance was that I would receive so many nice reactions to this bus. Everywhere along the way you see people watching, waving and sometimes even taking photos.

I bought this van with the idea of living in it sometimes. But in practice I am not able to do that for very long and the bus is therefore regularly in storage for a longer period of time. That seems like a shame to me, so now I want to see if others can enjoy it when I'm not using it.

As soon as you drive it, you immediately feel relaxed, because with this bus you don't have to be in a hurry. It needs some time to get going and can then drive fine at 90, but 85 km/h feels a little better because it vibrates less.
Meanwhile, it is only possible to talk very loudly to be heard above the noise of the engine, and that is quite intense. Fortunately, the bus fits into an average parking space, so take a terrace if you want to have a good conversation and enjoy the view along the way with or without earplugs.

Kitchen:
• Washbasin, tap connected to a 30 liter clean water tank with submersible pump and drain to waste water tank.
• 2-burner gas stove, gas tank, gas pressure regulator (May 2023), use of gas included
• Cafetiere, crockery, cutlery, pans, tupperware, sieve, etc. and washing up utensils
* Refrigerator model large cool box.
* Rack for herbs/hand soap, etc.
* Large drawer with storage bins for groceries
* Extendable table for sitting inside.
* Fold-out shelf to extend countertop.

Bed:
* Fixed bed 140x190 with 2 pillows and duvet. (bring your own fitted sheet, duvet cover and pillowcases)

Rear end:
* Lots of storage space under the bed, accessible via rear doors

Already present:
* 2 folding chairs
* Small table
* Picnic blanket

Electricity:
* 2 starter batteries under the driver's seat
* Main switch and sockets behind driver's seat
* Connection for shore power
* Large household battery with inverter/charger
* 150W solar panel
* There are several USB connections and sockets inside
* Cable for shore power with adapter for normal power cable.
* LED spotlights in the ceiling

Cold?
Living area has a heater that runs on diesel.

• Curtain to shield the cabin with living area
