The perfect camper if you want to travel alone!
I have been a solo traveler for years (usually with my dog) and have had my brilliant Calimero for 3 years now. Due to its compact construction, easy steering and good visibility through all windows, you can place Calimero anywhere and as a plus..... It simply fits in a normal parking space :-). So you can easily visit all the nice, cute little villages.
I have had many adventures with Calimero in recent years: crossed Denmark (where you can also drive your camper on the beach, super cool!), discovered small Dutch places (Love Friesland!), crossed France and traveled the rugged coasts with Calimero. from Normandy, the last ride was last April, exploring southern England with its super narrow local roads and cute little villages. This is really only for a small camper, otherwise you will quickly get stuck on a country road. England is certainly a country I will explore further.
Let me introduce you to Calimero: it is a solid original VW California camper from 1998 with a standard raised roof so you can easily stand in it. It has a strong 2.5 TDI engine, nice all-weather tires and is fully inspected and maintained at the VW garage. So you're in the right place for safe driving. It also has cruise control and automatic window controls, nice if you travel alone, then you can also open the right window :-). In short, it ensures that you drive comfortably and safely on all roads in Europe.
Do you want to be off grid or simply not use electricity? Thanks to the large household battery and external inverter, you can be without power for a maximum of 4 days. You can use the external inverter to charge your mobile phone, laptop, etc. (up to a maximum of 350 watts). The household battery charges itself when you drive.
You won't get cold in the camper either, thanks to a built-in heater that runs on diesel. The automatic thermostat will always keep you warm on and off the grid.
Would you also like to bring your dog(s)? That is possible and of course it is super fun. I always remove the passenger seat so that my dog has more room to move. Of course I can also arrange this for you.
If you would like to start a cool adventure, I will ensure that Calimero is ready for you in tip-top condition, including a fully charged household battery, basic dishwashing set, filled water tank, full gas bottle, full diesel tank and a towel, tea towel and duvet set. .
The only thing you need to bring is your own pillow, which is always the most comfortable.
Extras:
- Screen door
- Sun protection for windows
- Bivvy Loo (collapsible toilet max 150 kg)
- External inverter (for charging laptop, mobile, etc. up to 350 kW)
- Extra duvet

- If you bring a dog, there are 2 dog bowls available
