Self-built van from 2010

A somewhat rough converted Opel Movano from 2010. It can transport 9 people, 7 of which are sideways without a seat belt (because the van is from before 2014). That is not very comfortable or safe (no seat belts), but it is possible and allowed.

It is also suitable for transporting large items, for example getting a kitchen from Portugal, or taking a motorcycle on holiday (must not smell). The bed can span the entire width, but part of it will be less long (perhaps suitable for 2 adults + child).

Friends (a couple with 2 children) stretch a net so that the children can sit safely in the bed while driving, I don't know if this is allowed. They attach a TV to the wall, and one of the adults sleeps on a mattress on the floor half under the bed, together with the dogs. They also take an extra mattress with them, because they find the van's mattress a bit hard. A lot is possible.

There are simple light-tight curtains that can be attached with magnets. If you would like to attach a child seat between the two front seats, I would be happy to help.

Although I have been a member of Goboony since October 2023, my advertisement has only been online since May 8, 2024. So you will probably be my first "customer".

I don't smoke and I don't want anyone smoking in the van. But I don't want to send smokers out into the rain either. Window open, return without stench.

There are two batteries available and a small solar panel is fitted as standard. However, there are more fold-out solar panels available to borrow and place outside. There is 230V available (1500W peak, 750W continuous). Of course it is possible to charge mobile phones. The van is not very well insulated and there is no parking heater, so it is only suitable for cold weather to a limited extent.

There is a sink with only cold water. Furthermore, a simple gas stove that can be removed, so you can also cook outside. There is no refrigerator, but there is room for a cool box or something (but I don't have one).

Powerful (120 HP) and reliable engine. Up the mountain is no problem, neither is 130 on the highway. 2 tons of towing capacity.
