This enchanting cult camper from 1976 was brought to Germany as a re-import from Canada in 2017 and exudes an unmistakable vintage charm of the 70s. Its name "Honu Lohi" (Hawaiian for "Slow Turtle") embodies the relaxed travel you will experience with this vehicle.

Nevertheless, with its 2 liter displacement and 4 cylinders with 70 hp, it is by no means underpowered. This means that any mountain, no matter how steep, can be overcome effortlessly (even when fully loaded). The boxer engine located in the rear transmits its power to the rear wheels via a 4-speed manual transmission - but don't worry, before we leave we'll take you on a test drive to explain everything. With a little practice you'll quickly get the hang of it!

The camper can accommodate up to 4 people, with 4 beds and seats. However, with 4 adults it gets quite "cozy". However, it can comfortably accommodate 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. Thanks to the practical pop-up roof, you can stand completely upright in the vehicle and move freely. The passenger seat can be rotated 180° so that there is room for 3-4 people at the table.

The largely original Westfalia camping equipment gives the "Honu Lohi" a timeless charm that is in no way inferior to modern campers. Cooking inside is prohibited for safety reasons, but don't worry, we provide you with a mobile camping stove so you can prepare meals on the go. The original gas refrigerator was also replaced with a modern, economical and safe compressor refrigerator.

A chemical toilet, a gas grill and an awning can be rented for additional comfort for an additional charge. Please let us know in advance if you are interested.

Since our vehicle is compact, we recommend packing sparingly. Don't worry, we have already provided bed linen including covers, towels, dishes, pots/pans and a basic supply of spices, oil, wipes, etc. in the camper for you. Chairs and a small table can be easily stored in the luggage tub on the roof. These are included in the rental price.

In addition, “Honu Lohi’s” size is also an advantage. Where a large motorhome hardly has a chance on a full parking space, there is usually still a free corner for such a small camper.

To ensure your safety and our protection, the vehicle is monitored with GPS to ensure that it is moving within Germany and does not exceed the maximum speed of 100 km/h.
