Finally, our brand new camper is finished! And it turned out beautiful! We have a lot of travel plans, but in between we also want to rent out our camper to other travel enthusiasts.
We deliberately opted for a compact model – only 5m50 long, just a little longer & higher than our old VW California (and much more comfortable... see further). But actually just as easy to drive & park. We don't like traveling with a truck... So we deliberately don't have an indoor shower here, but what a wonderful open space you get instead!
And we had it completely furnished according to our wishes by SEC Mobile Solutions in early 2024. With lots of wood, rattan, book rack, curtains and summer fabrics. Super cozy, a real tiny house feeling. No slick, shiny Formica and standard caravan furnishings for us… And with all the luxury and comfort, that is.
We choose to rent to 'slow travelers' who stay in Belgium or neighboring countries - free kilometers per week max 1,250. And caring people who honor our 'Birdie'... Hopefully we can meet you soon and you can make an unforgettable trip! Free as a bird…
LIVING AREA AND KITCHEN
Lounge/dining area/dinette with 2 wide sofas opposite each other and a spacious floating table in between. Perfect for eating, reading or working. Or just chill out and relax. Taking an afternoon nap with two is perfectly possible without any conversion.
Kitchen with gas stove, refrigerator with freezer, tap & sink, kitchen cabinets. Omnia oven for baking bread rolls, e.g. Dolce Gusto coffee machine (good coffee is important!), can also be used as a kettle for tea. There is also a portable gas fire for outdoor cooking if necessary.
Cutlery, plates, glasses, pots and pans, salad bowl... are provided.
Passenger front seat can rotate to the kitchen/living area
lots of windows, lots of light, lots of ventilation! 2 skylights, 1 with fan, 2 tilting windows on the sides, 2 fixed windows at the back, all equipped with blackout and fly screens.
Atmosphere LED lighting that you can dim with remote control
8 sockets (230V) and USB charging inputs, which are linked to a large capacity lithium battery (210 Ah, which will last you for several days!) and a 2000W inverter for 230V. The battery is recharged during the rides and also via 2 solar panels on the roof.
Spacious storage options in 4 drawers and 7 cabinets
In cold weather, the Webasto indoor heating provides nice warm air in the interior, even when the car is stationary, of course.
A clean and dirty water tank makes the camper environmentally friendly.
TO SLEEP
No fixed beds, but in an instant (30 seconds!) you can transform the dining area into an XL bed of 1m80 wide and length 1m96 (left) and 1m78 (right). We think good sleep is super important and that is why we also have 2 luxurious mattress toppers with hotel quality memory foam
Our bed system also allows you to create 2 single beds with a corridor in between! So that going to the toilet at night becomes very simple. This is the setup we use the most. Super handy!
As a night toilet we have provided a Bivvy Loo toilet. Works very well. For the rest, we keep toilet matters outside the camper as much as possible.
We provide clean fitted sheets for the mattresses. It is best to bring your own down blanket, but if necessary we can also provide our 2 down blankets.
Bedside reading lamps on 230V with abundant reading light
To darken the front we have an insulating outer cover that closes everything perfectly and can also provide insulation during the day.
OUTDOOR LIVING
2 folding chairs with high backs (adjustable) + dining table are located at the back of the garage/suitcase. Also a footstool that turns the chair into a comfortable lounger.
Parasol to sit in the shade. We can also provide a shade cloth that is attached to the camper.
'Van 'n bike' bicycle carrier for 2 bicycles (which can also carry electric bicycles). Can be turned away with the bicycles on it so that the rear doors can simply be opened. If no bicycles are traveling with you, the bicycle carrier can be completely folded so that it sits almost flat against the rear doors.
There is of course also a spacious suitcase to take with you a badminton set, etc.

Brand new Fiat Ducato diesel 180hp automatic 9-speed – drives very smoothly! And plenty of power, even in the mountains. Size L2H2.
Full option for comfort and safety: front and rear parking sensors, reversing camera, adaptive cruise control, line assistance, air conditioning, GPS, Apple Car, Android Auto, etc…
With a length of 5m50, driving and parking is almost as easy as with a normal car. Most campers for rent are 6m or more…
We will remain available during your trip if you have any questions or problems. Comprehensive insurance and breakdown assistance are included as standard in the rental price.
ADDITIONAL ENTERTAINMENT
We have provided a projector (Epson EF12) and 55-inch projection screen so that you can, for example, watch Netflix on a large screen from your bed. With Chromecast and Android TV. It might be a bit over the top, but we just did it 😊
