Wir, 2 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder (11 und 7 Jahre), haben den Camper von Stefano für knapp eine Woche gemietet und damit etwa 200 km auf die Ostküste der Insel gefahren (Campeggio Sos Flores). Stefano und seine Frau Roberta sind sehr freundliche und unkomplizierte Menschen. Sie hatten uns vor der Abfahrt alle Details ausführlich erklärt (unser erstes Camping überhaupt). Der Diesel-Camper ist robust, fährt sich fast wie ein normaler Wagen. Er hat zwar schon etwa 20 Jahre auf dem Buckel, hat aber eine Solaranlage auf dem Dach und einen Inverter, so dass auch während der Fahrt 230V Spannung zur Verfügung steht. Man muss bei der Hitze mit offenen Fahrer-/Beifahrer-Fenstern fahren (keine Klimaanlage), also nicht unbedingt etwas für Leute, die auf totalen Luxus stehen, für uns hat es aber völlig gereicht. Wir empfehlen ausserdem eine Haftpflichtversicherung oder ähnlich zu haben, wenn man mit Kindern reist, da sie aus Neugier etwas kaputt machen könnten, z.B. Klappfenster usw.
