Stover Strand Camping

Stover Strand Camping is idyllically located just outside Hamburg in the Elbe Marsh. The main site is open all year round for a great camping experience and the natural riverside pitches are available from April to October. Restaurant, supermarket and children's entertainment make your holiday on the Elbe perfect. Simply choose a suitable pitch and off you go!

Contractual agreements for camping & holiday rental bookings

General: Only one family (max. 6 pers./excluding biological children) or the passengers of a vehicle is permitted per camping pitch, as well as one unit (motorhome/caravan) with an additional tent. In the case of vacation homes, the number of persons is limited to the maximum permitted occupancy of the rental property. Camping at the rental property is not permitted. Bookings by young people under the age of 18 traveling alone are not permitted and will be refused by Stover Strand campsite. The campsite management reserves the right to change pitch or property allocations if this is necessary for special reasons, even if a specific pitch or property number was given at the time of booking.

Booking: The descriptions and prices in the price list valid for the travel period apply exclusively to the contractual services. Information provided by telephone, ancillary agreements and other assurances of any kind are only part of the contract if they have been confirmed by us in writing. The contract comes into effect upon receipt of our written booking confirmation (by post or e-mail); you will receive this after a maximum of 5 days. Please check the booking confirmation immediately for accuracy! The required deposit of 20% of the tour price plus cancellation fee (if desired) is due at the time of booking to the account IBAN: DE31 2075 0000 0007 0201 00 at SPK Harburg Buxtehude (BIC NOLADE21HAM). Please pay the remaining amount 4 weeks before the start of the booking. If no deposit is received by the due date, we reserve the right to send a payment reminder and to cancel the booking with costs. If the date of arrival at the time of booking is less than 4 weeks, the total amount is due immediately.

Arrival: The arrival and departure dates stated in the booking confirmation are binding. The pitch or holiday home is available from 3.00 pm on the day of arrival. The pitches must be vacated by 11.00 a.m. at the latest on the day of departure and the barrier exit must be completed before this time. The holiday homes must be vacated by 11 a.m. and the key handed in at reception. The loss of a key will be charged at €25.00 per key. The cleaning of the holiday homes is always carried out by the landlord.

Cancellation: You can cancel the contract up to 30 days before the start of the booking, the cancellation must be declared in writing. The date of cancellation is determined by when we receive the cancellation notice. Delivery by e-mail to info@stover-strand.de or by post. In the event of cancellation of the contract, we may charge reasonable compensation in accordance with § 651a ff. of the German Civil Code (BGB) as follows: In the event of cancellation up to 30 days before the start of the booking, the deposit of 20% will be charged and will not be refunded. In the event of non-cancellation of the booking, late arrival or early departure, the full amount must be paid. Holiday homes and pitches that are not occupied by 11 a.m. on the day after the start of the reservation and for which no agreement has been made regarding a later arrival can be used by the site management for other purposes. The alternative occupation by Stover Strand does not constitute the provision of a replacement.

Cancellation & withdrawal package: We recommend that you take out our cancellation and withdrawal package when booking. For cancellations less than 4 weeks before arrival, only the lump sum and not the total price will be retained. Without this lump sum, the entire payment is forfeited as compensation for expenses.

Car parking: Each pitch or holiday home has a parking space for one vehicle.

Groups: Groups (such as registered clubs, school classes, companies) of 10 persons or more with at least one supervisor are only permitted with prior notification and written authorisation from the site operator.

Dogs: Dogs are allowed on the campsite grounds, but fighting dogs are prohibited. Dogs must be kept on a lead on the entire campsite site (front and rear dyke). Dogs are not permitted on playgrounds, on the beach or in the rental properties.
Opening hours: Please note that there are limited opening hours for reception, the fresh produce market, restaurants, etc. in the low season and not everything is open at times.

Site rules: The separate site rules, which are displayed at reception, are binding for all stays. Anyone who grossly violates these rules and in particular the quiet times, despite being warned, will be removed from the pitch immediately. There is no refund of the stay.
