Camping Pegomas

Le Pegomas is an invitation to discover Provence at its most authentic. Located in the heart of the Alpilles, close to Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, it offers a privileged natural setting among pine trees, Mediterranean scrub and the gentle Provençal way of life.

Just a few minutes away, the landscapes of the Parc naturel régional des Alpilles are ideal for hiking, cycling or discovering picturesque villages bathed in sunlight.

On site, everything is designed for comfort and relaxation: a swimming pool to cool off, shaded areas to unwind, playgrounds for children, as well as pétanque and table tennis for shared moments of fun. The peaceful atmosphere makes it perfect for stress-free holidays.

Le Pégomas is also an ideal base to explore the region: wander through the streets of Les Baux-de-Provence, visit Arles or enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of Avignon, all within easy reach.

You can reach the town in a few minutes on foot or 1 minute by bike. The Provençal market takes place on Wednesday mornings in St Remy de Provence. The small market takes place on Saturday mornings. The historic centre of St Rémy is a 5-minute walk away, where you can discover life in St Rémy with its bars, restaurants and shops. Stroll through the narrow streets of the town centre and enjoy some shopping in the lovely boutiques. For those who want to rest and relax, there are several high-quality spas located near the campsite, offering the perfect opportunity to pamper yourself. Saint Rémy is also the ideal starting point for exploring Provence. Less than an hour's drive away, there are many must-see tourist attractions: Les Baux de Provence (15 minutes), Arles (30 minutes), Avignon (25 minutes), Aix en Provence (1 hour), Marseille (1 hour), Nîmes (40 minutes), Montpellier (1 hour 10 minutes), beaches (1 hour 15 minutes), and more. Regional nature parks: Alpilles, Camargue, Luberon For sports enthusiasts, there are opportunities for walking, cycling, horse riding, climbing, golf...

1. OBLIGATIONS OF THE TENANT A rental accommodation or pitch is let in the tenant’s name and may under no circumstances be sublet by the TENANT. Any person not named on the seasonal rental contract will be regarded as a visitor and may be refused entry to the campsite or charged an additional fee. Minors unaccompanied by an adult will not be admitted to the CAMPSITE. Pitch allocation must be in accordance with the instructions of the CAMPSITE management. The TENANT has read the rules and regulations and undertakes to comply with them throughout their stay.  

2. ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES Arrivals are between 4 pm and 6 pm during the low season and between 4 pm and 7 pm during the high season. In the event of a late arrival, it is essential to notify the campsite reception. Bookings are held for 24 hours after the LESSEE’s scheduled arrival date. After this period, the booking is cancelled and the full cost of the stay will be charged to the LESSEE. Departures are scheduled between 8 am and 10 am for rental accommodation and before 12 noon for pitch-only bookings. Any day commenced is due and will incur payment for the full day. Pitches and rental accommodation are allocated by the CAMPING SITE subject to availability, in order to optimise scheduling. This allocation may be changed at any time prior to the actual handover of the keys. Only the location, dates and type of accommodation are guaranteed.  

3. PAYMENT OF THE RENTAL The booking only becomes effective upon receipt of the deposit (35% of the total cost of the stay). The full amount for the stay is payable no later than one month before your arrival. No reduction will be granted in the event of a late arrival or early departure. If payment is not received by the deadline, the TENANT’s booking will be automatically cancelled, and the full amount for the stay will remain due.

4. UTILITY CHARGES As this is a rental property, the price of the stay includes electricity, water and gas charges, provided that these are used within reasonable limits. Charging an electric car is strictly prohibited for this reason, not least due to the fire risks involved. Tourist tax and the recycling levy are charged as extras. 

5. TOTAL OR PARTIAL CANCELLATION BY THE CUSTOMER WITHOUT CANCELLATION OPTION (see 7)  It is the TENANT’s responsibility to notify the CAMPSITE by registered post with acknowledgement of receipt to the CAMPSITE’s address or by sending an email to the CAMPSITE’s contact address. The date of receipt of the cancellation will determine the cancellation fees. In the event of cancellation at the TENANT’s initiative, the TENANT shall remain liable to the CAMPSITE for: – an administration fee as compensation for breach of the Rental Agreement. – an amount equal to 35% of the total cost of the stay if the TENANT cancels more than 30 days before the scheduled arrival date. – an amount equal to the total cost of the stay, if the TENANT cancels less than 30 days before the scheduled arrival date.

6. WITHDRAWAL The TENANT is informed that, pursuant to Article L.121-20-4 of the French Consumer Code, the sale of accommodation services provided on a specific date or at specific intervals is not subject to the provisions relating to the withdrawal period applicable to distance selling. No right of withdrawal therefore applies to holiday bookings made through the CAMPING.  

7. CANCELLATION OPTION To cover for unforeseen circumstances, we recommend taking out a cancellation option with our partner NEAT ASSURANCE during your booking process. This is an optional extra, the variable cost of which is calculated at 4.50% of the accommodation cost.  Neat Camping Flex insurance offers comprehensive cover for stays in outdoor accommodation, including cancellation of the stay (up to 100% with proof or 70% without proof), curtailment of the stay, late arrival, change fees, damage to the rental property (up to €800), a replacement vehicle in the event of a breakdown or accident, as well as veterinary assistance for dogs and cats (up to €250 for two consultations per stay). It also covers the return of a forgotten personal item (up to €150). Cover must be taken out at the time of booking or before the cancellation period begins, and the cover is valid for the duration of the stay, not exceeding three months. 8. INVENTORY – STATE OF THE PREMISES (NOT APPLICABLE TO PITCHES) The CAMPSITE must provide accommodation that complies with the description and is in a clean and hygienic condition. The TENANT must return it in the same condition.  Each accommodation unit is equipped with crockery, indoor and outdoor furniture, and bedding (excluding sheets and household linen); some are equipped with a television. The TENANT must report any issues to the Campsite by the following day. It is agreed that an inventory (furniture, equipment and kitchen utensils) will be carried out upon the TENANT’s departure.  

9. SECURITY DEPOSIT (NOT APPLICABLE TO PITCHES) A security deposit is required to cover any lack of cleanliness, damage or deterioration caused to the rented items and premises, as well as any charges and consumption. The security deposit is set at €250.  It is paid upon handover of the keys and will be refunded 24 hours after departure, subject to deduction of the cost of any damage assessed at market replacement value for new items, and a fixed sum of €110 in the event that the property has not been cleaned. If the cost of the damage exceeds the security deposit, the TENANT shall be liable to the CAMPSITE for the additional amount required to replace the various damaged items. 

10. INSURANCE The CAMPSITE shall not be held liable in the event of theft, loss or damage of any kind during the stay.  The TENANT must, upon simple request by the LANDLORD, provide proof that their comprehensive home insurance policy is up to date with premium payments and includes a holiday travel clause covering the risks of ‘fire and water damage’ for which they may be held liable. If this is not the case, the TENANT may request either an extension from their insurer or specific insurance for the duration of the stay.
