GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE
"This English version is provided for information purposes only. In the event of any discrepancy or dispute regarding interpretation, the French version shall prevail."
Article 1 – Scope
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (hereinafter referred to as the "Terms and Conditions") govern all holiday bookings offered by Camping de l'Orival, operated by SARL B'ORIVAL, whether reservations are made directly with the campsite, by telephone, by email, via the website www.camping-de-lorival-normandie.com, or through an authorised booking partner.
Any reservation implies the customer's full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms and Conditions as well as the campsite's Internal Regulations.
The customer acknowledges having read these Terms and Conditions before making any reservation, both on their own behalf and on behalf of all persons included in the booking.
These Terms and Conditions are available on the campsite's website and may also be supplied free of charge upon request.
Article 2 – Booking Conditions
2.1 Prices – Booking – Payment
All prices are expressed in euros (€) and include all applicable taxes (VAT included), excluding the tourist tax and any optional services.
The prices applicable are those in force on the date the reservation is made.
All bookings are strictly personal and may not be transferred to another person without the prior written consent of Camping de l'Orival.
A booking shall become final only after:
acceptance by Camping de l'Orival;
receipt of the payment due in accordance with the payment terms communicated at the time of booking.
The balance of the stay must be paid within the deadline specified during the booking process.
Failure to pay within the agreed time limits may result in the cancellation of the reservation in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
Where applicable, booking fees are non-refundable and remain payable to the campsite.
2.2 Late Arrival
Guests are required to inform the campsite as soon as possible in the event of a delayed arrival.
If no information is received and the campsite has not heard from the guest before the reception closes on the day following the scheduled arrival date, the booking may be considered abandoned.
In such circumstances, the reservation will be cancelled and any sums already paid shall be retained in accordance with the applicable cancellation policy.
2.3 Booking Amendments
Any request to modify a reservation is subject to the prior agreement of the campsite and can only be accepted subject to availability.
No refund or price reduction shall be granted in the event of:
late arrival;
early departure;
interruption of the stay for any reason whatsoever.
2.4 Cancellation by the Customer
Any cancellation request must be submitted in writing by post or email. The date on which Camping de l'Orival receives the cancellation request shall be used to calculate the applicable cancellation charges.
The following cancellation charges shall apply:
More than 30 days before the scheduled arrival date: 100% of the amounts paid will be refunded, excluding booking fees and any cancellation insurance premium, which are non-refundable.
Between 30 and 15 days before the scheduled arrival date: 50% of the total cost of the stay will be retained.
Less than 15 days before the scheduled arrival date: 100% of the total cost of the stay will be retained.
In the event of a no-show, late arrival or early departure, no refund shall be granted.
Where the customer has taken out cancellation insurance, any reimbursement shall be governed exclusively by the terms and conditions of the insurance policy. Camping de l'Orival is not involved in the handling of claims or the insurer's reimbursement decisions.
2.5 Cancellation Due to Non-Payment
If the balance of the booking is not paid within the required time limit, Camping de l'Orival reserves the right to cancel the reservation after formal notice has remained without effect.
Any amounts already paid shall be retained in accordance with the applicable cancellation policy.
2.6 Right of Withdrawal
Pursuant to Article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the statutory right of withdrawal applicable to distance selling does not apply to accommodation services provided on a specific date or during a specified period.
Accordingly, all reservations are firm and final under these Terms and Conditions.
2.7 Cancellation Insurance
Camping de l'Orival offers customers the option of taking out cancellation insurance when making their reservation.
Subject to the terms, conditions and exclusions of the insurance policy, this insurance may reimburse sums paid in the event of cancellation or interruption of the stay for a covered reason.
The insurance terms, exclusions and premium are provided to the customer at the time of booking.
Failure to subscribe to cancellation insurance does not alter the application of these Terms and Conditions.
