About this campsite

For holidays in front of the sea, 20 meters from the beach, choose camping du Bord de Mer. Facing the atlantic Ocean, the campsite is situated in a large garden planted with trees and offers calm, serenity in a friendly atmosphere. The covered swimming pool is heated up to November. The campsite has a human size with its 88 pitches, with rental of moibl-homes, chalets, gypsy caravans and either traditional pitches for caravans, camping cars or tents. During the season, have a snack or a drink in front of the sea at the snack-bar. Entertainments during season for children an adults. The campsite is also located 10 minutes'walk only from Saint Michel Chef Chef and near the lively resort of Tharon Plage...

The campsite is in Saint-Michel-Chef-Chef, in Loire Atlantique, on the Jade Coast, between Brittany to the north and the Vendée to the south, between Saint-Brévin and Pornic, approximately 900 metres from the town centre.

By road: Coming from Saint-Brévin or Pornic using the “Route Bleu” Take the exit signposted Saint-Michel-Chef-Chef/Saint-Père-en-Retz/Chauvé

– At the roundabout, take the first exit: Avenue des Renardières

– At the roundabout, take the second exit: Avenue des Renardières

– Turn left: Rue des Lilas

– Turn right: Rue du Redois

– At the roundabout, take the second exit: Boulevard de l’Océan

About the area

To get from the campsite toTharon-Plage, head left along the Boulevard de l’Océan by car, or if you’re feeling more energetic, follow the footpath.. You will end up at a magnificent sandy beach!

Just 200 metres from the campsite, the Parc du Bois Roy is a peaceful, shady place where you can stroll around or have a picnic, with a fitness trail and a playground.

A ten-minute walk from Camping du Bord de Mer brings you to the protected site of Les Terres Rouges with a footpath that offers stunning views of the sand dunes, the cliffs and the sea.

For shellfish gathers, every high tide brings rich pickings on the beach opposite the campsite. Fishermen can fish to their hearts’ content from the jetty in the harbour or at the Etang des Gatineaux (a freshwater lake). To go sea fishing in your own boat, you can launch from the slipway at Comberge harbour..

For sports and active leisure, the Centre Nautique de la Cormorance watersports centre (boardsports, catamaraning, surfing, paddleboarding, sand-yachting etc.) offers price reductions for clients of Camping du Bord de Mer. For those aged 7 and over, Racing Kart Jade has a floodlit track for speed lovers.

Within a radius of a few kilometres you will also find: a mini golf course, cycle hire, a shooting range, tennis courts, boules, a bouncy castle and rides for the tiny tots, not forgetting the library and cinema.

And if you fancy shopping at the market, you have a choice between Saint-Michel-Chef-Chef (Wednesdays and Saturdays during July/August) and Tharon-Plage (Tuesdays and Fridays, free shuttle bus). There is also an evening craft market in Tharon-Plage every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Booking conditions

Reception hours:

Low season: November to March. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday: 9:00 am to 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm (Reception closed on Sundays during low season).

April to October. Monday to Saturday: 9:30 am to 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm (Reception hours on Sundays: 11:00 am to 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm).

Late arrivals and weekend arrivals are only accepted by prior arrangement.

High season: July and August. Monday through Sunday: 9:00 am to 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm to 7:30 pm

Annual closure from December 10 to January 10.

OUR SERVICES

Bare pitch: Bare pitch for your tent, trailer or camper.

The cost of your stay is calculated using a basic package that includes your pitch, the guest(s), setting up your equipment, your vehicle and access to reception, entertainment and sanitary facilities. Additional fees (extra person, extra vehicle, pets, etc.) are not included.

Package: 1 pitch for 1 or 2 guests, 1 camper van or 1 car with tent or trailer (maximum 6 guests).

Rental accommodation: Our prices include the guests (based on accommodation capacity), water, gas, electricity, one vehicle, access to reception, entertainment and sanitary facilities.

Your accommodation must be left as you found it.

We can only honor requests for a specific pitch or accommodation based on availability upon arrival.

EXTRA ACTIVITIES: Any activities provided for free or for a fee mentioned in this document may, in circumstances beyond our control, be changed or cancelled upon your arrival at the campsite. We cannot be held liable for changes or cancellations.

Bookings are definitive upon confirmation by us. You must notify us of any changes upon arrival. By booking, you accept the campsite rules and terms of sale listed above.

HOW TO PAY

Cheque (for the deposit). Cheques are not accepted on-site. Credit card (telephone, internet).  Vacation vouchers. Connect vacation

PAYMENT CONDITIONS: Rentals - the outstanding balance is due 1 month before arrival. Tent-campers: the day of arrival

BOOKING FEES: 5 nights and more: €30 - 3 to 5 nights: €15 - Less than 3 nights: free - VACAF eligible: €30

LATE ARRIVAL - EARLY DEPARTURE

We will hold your pitch or rental for 48 hours from your scheduled arrival time.

After this window, we will cancel your booking. Please let us know if your arrival time needs to be changed.

If, for any reason whatsoever, the duration of a rental or camping pitch booking is shortened, the cost of the stay will not be refunded by the campsite (except for medical reasons).

CANCELLATION / INTERRUPTION INSURANCE

4% of the amount of the stay.. Information on request

MINORS

Minors unaccompanied by their parents are accepted only with a note from their parents that includes the parents' telephone number.

DEPOSIT

Upon arrival, guests must confirm that the rental is in good condition, check the inventory and report any issues within 24 hours.

. Rental: a security deposit of €400 is required on arrival by credit card or cheque. It will be returned to you once the rental has been checked. The campsite reserves the right to retain the full amount of the deposit in the event of damage to the accommodation, its contents or campsite facilities, and/or to cover the cost of cleaning if the accommodation has not been cleaned prior to departure.

If you leave the campsite outside of reception's hours, we will destroy your deposit cheque.

Note: the security deposit does not limit your liability.

PETS (1 pet per pitch)

Pets are welcome. They must be leashed and are subject to a daily fee. A rabies vaccination certificate is required. Owners are civilly liable for their pats and may not leave them unattended. Access to sanitary facilities and the playground with pets is strictly forbidden. 1st and 2nd category dogs are not allowed.

FIRES

Ground fires are prohibited, and grills must be supervised (grill rental available on-site).

INSURANCE

Guests must have civil liability insurance. The campsite declines all responsibility in the event of theft, fire, bad weather, etc., and in the event of accidents for which the guest is liable.

TOURIST TAX

€0.70 per person over 18 per night (cost set by municipal decree), not included in our rates.

CLAIMS

Any claims following a stay must be made in writing and sent by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt within 20 days of your stay.
