Camping Les Charmes is set in a tranquil and natural environment in the heart of the Dordogne, surrounded by a wealth of attractions. Our newly renovated water park, promises endless fun for all ages. Unwind on the bubble bench, drift along the exciting wild water river, or zoom down the water slide. Little ones will love the toddler pool, equipped with a slide and playful water sprayer.

Children can also enjoy hours of fun in the playground or adventuring through the forest surrounding the campsite. For those seeking more active pursuits, the campsite offers a tennis court, pétanque, and table tennis.

After a day full of activities, relax on the terrace with a glass of fine wine, taking in the breathtaking views and unforgettable sunsets. Camping Les Charmes offers everything you need for an unforgettable holiday!

About the area

The Périgord Noir is the most famous and most beautiful part of the Dordogne with its many castles, caves and valleys. The Périgord Noir or the Black Perigord owes its name to the many dark oak forests on the Perigord hills.

The capital is the beautiful medieval town of Sarlat. A visit to Sarlat is a must for anyone visiting the Dordogne. It is a beautifully preserved medieval town, which has been completely restored. In high season it is a bustling city with its Saturday market, tours and festivals.

The Périgord Noir includes two of the most beautiful valleys:
The valley of the Dordogne, stretching from Carlux to Siorac en Perigord. It is a valley, where the unspoilt nature is well preserved. Here are many of the most beautiful villages of France, such as Beynac, La Roque Gageac, Domme, Limeuil and Domme and on top of the cliffs there are several famous castles like Castelnaud, Les Milandes, Fénelon and Beynac and the beautiful gardens of Marqueyssac. The river is particularly suitable for canoeing and swimming, there are many beaches along the river. Along the river is a beautiful cycling track, where in former days the railway line was situated.
The valley of the Vézère, stretching from Terrasson to Limeuil, where the Vézère flows into the Dordogne. Along the river you will find many beautiful towns and villages such as Terrasson Lavilledieu, Montignac, Condat sur Vézère Saint Léon sur Vezere and Les Eyzies. Between Montignac and Les Eyzies there are many prehistoric sites, which are also on the World Heritage List of UNESCO, such as the cave of Lascaux, Font de Gaume and Cap Blanc. Along the river are many famous castles such as the Chateau de Losse and Maison Forte de Reignac. Les Eyzies is also known as the world capital of prehistory, due to the many caves and the national museum of prehistory. The valley is particularly suitable for canoeing, hiking or visiting one of the many small parks about the prehistory.

In the south of the Perigord Noir is the beautiful bastide Belvès and in the valley of the Céou the pretty village of Daglan. Other nice places, all of which are worth visiting: Saint Cyprien, Le Bugue, Carlux and Salignac. In and around Le Bugue is a lot to do for kids such as visiting the Aquarium, Le Bournat - an open-air museum about the life around 1900, several caves and the fun park Jacquou Parc.

1 / Our Services

Campsite Pitch
A pitch is provided for your tent, caravan, folding trailer, or motorhome. The pitch is available from 2:00 PM on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 12:00 PM on the day of departure. Your stay is calculated based on a basic package that includes: the campsite pitch, 2 persons, electricity, your setup, your vehicle, and access to the infrastructure and sanitary facilities. Additional costs (extra person, pets, etc.) are not included in the package and will be added to the rate. Electricity is included in reasonable and fair usage (e.g. excluding air conditioning). Charging an electric car is not permitted. A maximum of 6 persons per pitch is allowed.

Accommodation
Our prices include people (depending on the accommodation capacity), water, gas, electricity, one vehicle, and access to the infrastructure and sanitary facilities. Your accommodation must be left as you found it upon arrival.
Charging an electric car is not permitted.

Key Handover
The rental accommodation is available from 3:00 PM on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10:00 AM on the day of departure. From July 3 to August 28, accommodations can only be booked for a minimum stay of 7 nights. Arrivals and departures can take place on Saturdays and Wednesdays during this period, subject to availability.

Additional Services
Our prices do not include:
Food and drinks, various rental supplements (linen rental, fridge rental, baby kit, etc.), access to certain sports and recreational activities, reservation fees, cancellation insurance or interruption of stay, tourist tax (this rate is determined by the local authorities).

Swimming Pool
Our water park is open from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. There is no supervision at the pools; children are the responsibility of their parents. Please respect the safety and hygiene regulations: eating and drinking are not allowed (chips and cookie crumbs under the loungers), and while we don’t mind a bottle of water, spilled apple juice is very attractive to wasps.
Inflatables, rings, flamingos, air mattresses, bodyboards, and boards are not allowed due to safety reasons. No pets, no shoes or slippers inside the fence, and no smoking.
Swim shorts are allowed, but they must be real swim shorts, not the same shorts worn throughout the holiday. Swim shorts must not have pockets (oops, a tissue was left inside) or zippers (which can scratch the slide).
Running on the slide or in the lazy river is not allowed, as some accidents have already occurred due to this, and no one wants that during their holiday. Toilets are located between the pool and the terrace.
Visitors are not allowed to use the pool.

Rates
The stated rates are expressed in Euros, including VAT.

2 / Payment Terms
Within 2 weeks after booking, you must pay 30% of the total amount. The balance is due no later than 30 days before arrival. If you book within 30 days of arrival, the full amount must be paid at once. If the payment deadlines are not met, the reservation will be canceled. Payment can be made via bank transfer or credit card.

3 / Late Arrival and Early Departure
In case of a late arrival or early departure, the entire stay remains due. No refunds will be given for unused days.

4 / Liability Insurance
The guest staying on a pitch or in accommodation is required to have public liability insurance. Proof of insurance may be requested before the service begins.
Children are always under the responsibility of their parents, regardless of their location on the campsite (pool, restaurant, etc.), and parents are responsible for their children's behavior.

5 / No-show
In case of no-show at the campsite within 24 hours after the start of your stay and without justification or any arrival notice, we will cancel your reservation. In this case, our cancellation policy will apply.

6 / Cancellation
In case of cancellation or interruption of your stay at Camping Les Charmes, the campsite takes no responsibility and will not issue any refund. For adequate coverage, we recommend purchasing cancellation insurance.

7 / Accommodation Deposit
A €200 deposit is required for accommodations, to be paid upon arrival. This deposit will be refunded or canceled after inspection if the accommodation is left in perfect condition. Cleaning fees will be charged if the accommodation is not cleaned by you and you have not opted for end-of-stay cleaning during your booking (85€).
If you have not chosen the cleaning option, you must leave the accommodation in the same condition you found it upon arrival, fully cleaned. The accommodation will be inspected after your departure. During this inspection, we will pay attention to cleanliness and the condition of furniture, equipment, and inventory. Any damage not reported at check-in will be charged.

What should I do before departure if I have opted for end-of-stay cleaning?
If you have chosen the cleaning option, you should:

Wash and dry the dishes and store them in the cupboards

Return the furniture to its original position

Empty all bins and dispose of the waste

Turn off and open the fridge

Sweep the mobile home before departure

We will handle the end-of-stay cleaning.

If you depart outside of reception hours, the key can be left on the table in the accommodation.
The deposit will be refunded or canceled after inspection and end-of-stay cleaning.

8 / Minors
Unaccompanied minors are not allowed.

8.1 / Visitors
Visitors are allowed under the responsibility of their host after registration at the reception. Visitors are not allowed to use the pool.

9 / Pets
Dogs and cats (except category 1 and 2 dogs) are allowed. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times within the campsite. They are prohibited around the swimming pools, in the sanitary facilities, and in the playground. The vaccination records of dogs and cats must be up to date. Pets must never be left alone on the campsite.

10 / Disputes
Any complaint regarding non-compliance with the service compared to contractual obligations must be submitted in writing (by post or email) within 20 days after your stay to Camping Les Charmes. In accordance with article L. 152-1 of the French "Code de la consommation," you may contact a mediation service for disputes: Bayonne Médiation, Address: 32 Rue du Hameau, 64200 Biarritz, Phone: 06 79 59 83 38.
