Camping Le Pech Charmant

Glamping / Family campsite combining nature and comfort, spread over 12 hectares, in the heart of the Périgord Noir in the Dordogne, just 2 km from Les Eyzies, the world capital of prehistory, and 20 km from all the major sites (medieval village of Sarlat, Lascaux caves, Joséphine Baker's château at Les Milandes, etc.). Nestling in the middle of a forest of oak and chestnut trees, it offers an exceptional natural setting while providing modern facilities, spacious pitches with or without private sanitary facilities, a wide choice of accommodation (luxury furnished safari tents, mobile homes of all sizes or new wooden hut lodges), a mini-farm (pigs, rabbits, goats, ponyxes, donkeys. .), a large swimming pool, a heated paddling pool, a jacuzzi, a gourmet restaurant with its famous Périgord menu on Tuesdays (table d'hôte format), a snack bar with home-made pizzas and the possibility of hiring donkeys by the day. In high season, there is plenty of entertainment for children, as well as a grocery shop and bakery, and live music every Monday in the night bar.

Numerous hiking trails start from the campsite (GR36, GR64, GR6...).

Our campsite in the Dordogne is ideally situated in the heart of the Périgord Noir. Within a 20 km radius of Le Pech Charmant, you'll find all the major tourist sites: châteaux, abbeys, medieval villages such as the famous town of Sarlat, the most famous caves such as Lascaux, and numerous theme parks. 

The pretty village of Les Eyzies is just 2 kilometres from our campsite. In the heart of the Dordogne, it is world-famous for the discovery of numerous caves with prehistoric paintings and the first skeletal remains of Cro-Magnon man.

The Vézère, with its magnificent valley, lends itself perfectly to superb and unforgettable canoe trips. From the river, you can discover magnificent rocky peaks with castles and caves. The Vézère runs through Les Eyzies and is 2 kilometres from the campsite. It flows into the Dordogne after a 14km stretch.

In this hilly environment, and starting from the campsite, there are a number of signposted hiking trails: to discover nature on foot, on horseback, with a donkey (for hire at the campsite) or by bike (GR6, GR36, GR64).
