Liked: Plots were given privacy with flowered fences. Swimming pool and slides were great.
Could be better: Cafe had limited menu. Could do with more food choices. Water taps for filling up motorhome water were difficult to use, out hose attachment didn't work on them. Feel the price of the camping was expensive.

Getting there
It is quite easy to reach our camp-site. It is situated about eight kilometers south of Clermont-Ferrand, just off the A75 motorway. From A75 (toll-free motorway) - exit at junction 5, just south of Clermont-Ferrand. Cross back under the motorway on the D213 following signs to Orcet, then after about a mile cross straight over at a roundabout, joining the D52 to Orcet. Shortly after the roundabout turn left where Orcet and the site are signposted. The camp-site lies almost immediately on the right hand site, just outside the village. Orcet as well as the camp-site are clearly signposted so you won't get lost.Or adress for your TOM TOM is; BG 45°. 70019 end LG 3°.16956.
About the area
The camp-site is situated within two Nature Reserves, namely the 'Park des Vulcan's d'Auvergne' and the 'Park Natural Regional Livradois Forest'. The 'Park des Vulcans', is the most famous due to the 'Puy de Dome' known for the Tour de France. In this unique area with its almost 80 volcanoes, you will see craters, brooks, lakes, rivers and splendid views, Romanesque villages and many castles. This area is unique and you can take a lot of beautiful walks (± 600 miles of walks). It really is an Eldora do for the lovers of nature.
Booking conditions
Reservation conditions for a pitch or hire on the campsite Le Clos Auroy
1) Reservation.
Your reservation will only be confirmed when the management of the camp-site receives your deposit. The reservation will remain valid for 24 hours after your given time of arrival, after this time your right to reservation will lapse. Only reservations made with deposits are accepted.
2) Deposit.
Send a postcheque of 25% of the amount in the name of camp-site ” Le Clos Auroy ” And include this cheque with your reservation-form. Any deposit made goes towards the cost of your stay less reservation fee. Pay by internationaal banking; Iban: FR76 1018 8068 0150 6512 8665 183 Bic : BCHAFR21 Cournon (attention of the time this takes) Or by creditcard.
3) Cancellation guarantee.
Le Clos Auroy campsite offers you the possibility of taking out Cancellation and Interruption insurance when making the reservation. Our partner Campez Couvert undertakes to reimburse all or part of the stay to our holidaymakers. In the event of cancellation, notify the campsite of your withdrawal upon the occurrence of an event preventing your departure by mail or email. If the loss is provided for in the general conditions (available on the site https://www.campez-couvert.com/pour-les-particuliers/prendre-connaissance-des-cga/ or from the campsite), notify the insurer within 48 hours and provide all the necessary information and supporting documents. It is strongly recommended to subscribe to a cancellation guarantee at the time of booking, or with your insurance company.
4) Cancellation without insurance.
all the (payements) deposit will not be returned by the campsite in case of a cancellation.
5) (PITCH) Arrival – Departure.
Your reserved pitch is freely accessible from 14 o'clock and has to be cleared before 11 o'clock on the day of departure.
(HIRE) Arrival – Departure.
Your reserved pitch is freely accessible from 16 o'clock and has to be cleared before 10 o'clock on the day of departure.
6) Payment.
The whole amount of your stay minus your deposit is due to be paid upon your arrival.
7) Electricity.
It is forbidden to recharge your electric car at the campsite. Various reception points are available nearby.
8) Guests and supplements must be declared defore and paid at the reception.
9) Everyone must comply with the internal rules of the campsite. The rules of procedure are displayed at reception. Entering or leaving the campsite is prohibited for vehicles from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.
10) Invoice.
The balance of the stay is to be paid on arrival or in the case of a hire unit 1 month before. Be careful that once the invoice is done nothing can change afterwards.
11) Any item forgotten on site will be sent to you at your request against a minimum sum of € 20.
12) Possible payments on site are: by credit card and cash.
13) Disputes.
In the event of any problems between the two parties, only the court of Clermont Ferrand is authorized to rule.
14) If you take an option over a given period, it remains valid for 5 (working) days until receipt of your deposit. Beyond that, the option is no longer guaranteed.
