GENERAL CONDITIONS OF SALE OF THE ARDECHE CAMPSITE - 2025
Please take the time to read the conditions governing the sale of holidays. They are valid from the moment the reservation is made. Booking a holiday, either online or directly with the Camping d'Ardèche reception desk, implies full acceptance of the Camping de l'Ardèche General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTCS).
I - BOOKING CONDITIONS
- Reservations only become effective once you have received our confirmation. This will be sent by e-mail on receipt of the deposit and the booking contract duly completed and signed or acceptance of the general conditions of sale when booking online.
- Reservations are only binding on the Camping de l'Ardèche if the Camping de l'Ardèche has accepted them, which the Camping de l'Ardèche is free to do or to refuse, depending on availability and, in general, on any circumstances likely to affect the execution of the reservation made. Camping de l'Ardèche offers family holidays, relaxation and calm. Camping de l'Ardèche reserves the right to refuse any booking that is contrary to these principles.
- Reservations for camping pitches or rentals are made on a strictly personal basis. Under no circumstances may the customer sublet or transfer their reservation without the prior consent of Camping de l'Ardèche.
- Minors must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians. Failing this, a prior request must be made by the parents to reception. In addition, a handwritten parental authorisation for each minor must be sent to the Camping de l'Ardèche before the start of the holiday. A deposit of €100 per minor must be paid to reception on arrival.
- Pitch or rental numbers are not guaranteed. In case of necessitý of planning or in case of force majeure, the Management of Camping de l'Ardèche reserves the right to change the rental or pitch number.
II - BOOKING FEES
The Camping de l'Ardèche offers free booking fees for rentals and bare pitches if booked online. Telephone bookings will be charged 10€.
III - CAMPING PITCHES
The basic package includes a pitch for a tent, caravan or camper van for 1 or 2 people, access to sanitary facilities and reception facilities. The maximum capacity of a pitch is 6 people.
A deposit of 100€ (cleanliness + respect for campsite rules) per pitch will be requested by credit card on arrival. The cleanliness of the pitches will be checked on departure and a fixed fine of 50€ will be deducted from the deposit if the pitch is not returned in a satisfactory state.
IV - MOBILE HOME RENTALS
The rental accommodation is equipped according to the inventory in the description.
Only one vehicle per accommodation is accepted.
No additional installation or children's tent is permitted next to the accommodation.
1 - Security deposit
A security deposit must be paid on arrival in the form of a bank imprint. The amount of the deposit is €250. It will be returned to the tenant on departure after an inventory of fixtures has been carried out by the tenant and a campsite representative.
In the event of loss of or damage to items in the accommodation caused by the tenant, the refund of this deposit will be reduced by the cost of replacement or repair. If the cost exceeds the deposit, the tenant will be asked to pay a supplement.
2 - Cleaning
Cleaning is not included in our prices. If, on the tenant's departure, the equipment and premises have not been cleaned or have been cleaned in an unsatisfactory manner, the cleaning required to restore the property to its original state will be systematically invoiced according to the scale noted on the contract, i.e. 60€. The refund of the security deposit will then be reduced by this amount.
A lump sum of €60 will also be deducted if the tenant has smoked inside the mobile home or if the smell of cigarettes is noticed.
3 - Cleaning service
If the tenant does not wish to do the cleaning, the cleaning service will be invoiced at €60. This service must be ordered by the customer no later than the day of arrival. Please note: the Mobile Home must be returned in a correct state and the cleaning of the kitchen area (crockery and fridge) and rubbish bins remains the responsibility of the customer in all cases.
V - GROUP RESERVATIONS
Any reservation of more than 1 pitch by the same individual or by different individuals who know each other and are travelling together for the same reasons and on the same dates is considered to be a group.
For all group reservation requests, customers must contact reception by telephone or e-mail. Camping de l'Ardèche reserves the right to examine the booking request before accepting or refusing it.
A deposit of 100€ (cleanliness + compliance with campsite rules) per person will be requested by credit card on arrival. The cleanliness of the pitches will be checked on the day of departure and the deposit will be cashed if the pitches concerned are not returned in a satisfactory state.
VI - RATES AND TOURIST TAXES
The prices shown are valid for the 2025 season. They correspond to one night and are in euros, including VAT.
VII - PAYMENT TERMS
For bookings made more than 30 days before the start of the holiday, a deposit of 30% of the amount of the services booked must be paid.
For camping pitches, the balance must be paid on arrival.
For rental accommodation, the balance must be paid 30 days before the start of the holiday. For rental bookings made less than 30 days before the start of the holiday, full payment must be made at the time of booking.
VIII - CANCELLATION AND MODIFICATIONS
1 - Cancellation by the camper
In the event of cancellation more than 30 days before the start of the stay, a sum equal to 30% of the price of the stay will be payable to the Camping de l'Ardèche as well as the registered booking fees. In the event of cancellation less than 30 days before the start of the holiday, the full price of the holiday (100%, including the VACAF share) will be charged by Camping de l'Ardèche.
The cancellation invoice will only be sent to the customer once the cancellation fee has been paid in full (30% or 100% as explained above).
If the customer has taken out cancellation insurance, the sums paid are covered by the guarantee in accordance with the general cancellation conditions.
2 - Booking changes
Customers may request a change to their stay at the campsite by writing to the Camping de l'Ardèche (by post or e-mail), subject to availability. No postponements will be accepted for the following season. If no change is made, the customer will have to stay under the original booking conditions or cancel under the terms of the cancellation insurance if this was taken out by the customer at the time of booking.
Any request to increase the length of a stay will be accepted subject to availability and the rates in force.
Any request to reduce the length of a stay will be considered as a partial cancellation and will be subject to the terms and conditions for cancelling and interrupting a stay.
3 - Unused services
Any stay interrupted or shortened (late arrival, early departure) by the customer will not give rise to a refund.
IX - THE STAY
1- Arrival
Arrivals are from 3pm.
A deposit of 100€ by credit card is required for pitches.
A deposit of 250€ by credit card will be required for mobile homes.
2 - During your stay
It is the camper's responsibility to be insured. Campers are responsible for looking after their personal belongings (bicycles, etc.).
Camping de l'Ardèche declines all responsibility in the event of an incident involving the camper's civil liability.
A wristband is given to each guest on arrival. It must be worn visibly on the wrist throughout the stay.
All customers must comply with the internal regulations and the Camping de l'Ardèche Charter.
Each camper/tenant is responsible for any disturbance or nuisance caused by people staying with or visiting them.
3 - Departure
Pitches must be vacated by 11am.
If the pitch is not cleaned before departure, a fixed fine of €50 will be deducted from the deposit.
Mobile homes: On the day of departure indicated on the contract, the accommodation must be vacated before 10am after an inventory has been made by appointment with reception.
Departures must take place between 8am and 10am. If you wish to leave outside this time, you must request prior authorisation from reception.
For any departure after 10am, an additional day may be charged at the current nightly rate.
The accommodation must be left in a clean condition and the inventory may be checked (see conditions in paragraph IV).
X - PETS
Pets are allowed on the campsite (except 1st and 2nd category dogs) for a fee payable at the time of booking. They must be kept on a lead at all times. They are not allowed in the sanitary facilities. Vaccination certificates for dogs and cats must be up to date. The customer undertakes to pick up any droppings.
Any breach of hygiene (cleaning kit available free of charge from reception) or of safety caused by the animal may result in the customer being expelled.
XI - VISITORS
Visitors must check in at the campsite reception and any extra charges incurred must be paid at reception.
Their vehicle must be parked in the outside car park of the Camping de l'Ardèche.
XII - CAMPSITE MAINTENANCE
The management of Camping de l'Ardèche reserves the right to maintain the green areas between 10am and 7pm from Monday to Saturday, using lawnmowers, blowers, hedge trimmers and other maintenance tools in order to keep the campsite cleań.
The Camping de l'Ardèche cannot be held responsible for any nuisances specific to the establishment or the town (works, water or electricity cuts) which may disrupt the customers' stay.
XIII - IMAGE
The customer authorises the Camping de l'Ardèche, as well as any person for whom the Camping de l'Ardèche wishes to act, to photograph, record or film him/her during his/her stay at the Camping de l'Ardèche and to use said images, sounds, videos and recordings on any medium. This authorisation applies both to the customer and to persons staying with him/her. Its sole purpose is to promote and animate the establishment and may in no way damage the customer's reputation. This authorisation is granted free of charge, for all countries and for a period of 5 years.
XIV - RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CAMPSITE
The customer expressly acknowledges that Camping de l'Ardèche cannot be held responsible for any erroneous information communicated by its partners or by third parties, or via any other paper or digital medium (brochure, website, social networks, etc.) concerning the campsites and in particular the photos, activities, services and dates of operation.
All photos and text used in the brochure, on the campsites' websites, social networks and partner sites are non-contractual and for information purposes only.
It may happen that certain activities or facilities offered and indicated in the descriptions appearing on these communication media are cancelled, in particular for climatic reasons or in the event of force majeure as defined by the French courts.
XV - DISPUTES
Any complaint concerning the non-conformity of the services in relation to the contractual commitments may be notified by post or e-mail to the manager of the Camping de l'Ardèche.
In the event of a dispute, only the courts of Aubenas have jurisdiction.
XVI - DATA PROTECTION
The information provided by the customer when making a reservation will not be passed on to any third party. This information will be considered confidential. It will only be used by internal departments to process the order and to enhance and personalise communication and the range of services reserved for customers according to their centres of interest. In accordance with the French Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978, customers have the right to access, rectify and object to any personal data concerning them.
