My name is Hans Arons, and until my retirement, I worked as a mental health professional. It's a fantastic profession, but after so many years in this wonderful profession, I feel I've earned my retirement. As a practitioner, I've gained a wealth of life experience and have heard and seen almost everything.
Now I want to enjoy (again) and have adventures with the camper again.
I've owned a campervan in the past and thoroughly enjoyed it. We still regularly reminisce with my (adult) children.
France was my favorite country because they're camper-friendly. There are many campervan sites. I just had to get used to (and laugh a bit) the French campervan guests. Around 6 p.m., the campervans closed. The TV dishes went up, and you couldn't see them again for the rest of the evening.
In the picturesque villages it is wonderful to park your camper (usually just outside the center) and after enjoying and strolling, do your thing back in the camper.
I also found Spain and Portugal very pleasant.
Traveling in a campervan gives me freedom. Initially, I wanted to buy a caravan, but after weighing the pros and cons, I decided this campervan was a big plus.
