It all started with an inn and an Aral gas pump that was installed opposite Siemers Gasthof, says Andrea Jenss-Siemers, who, together with her husband Matthias Jenss, manages the Geesthacht car dealership VW Siemers at Geesthachter Str. 72-74.

It was 1954 when Manfred Siemers opened an Aral gas station on Geesthachter Strasse.

Four years later he set up the repair shop there and at the same time took over customer service for Volkswagen drivers. Thus, the service for VW vehicles, strongly influenced by the VW Beetle in all variants, was located in Düneberg.

In 1964 a new VW workshop was built, followed shortly afterwards by the car dealership that still exists today.

The next service expansion followed in 1979: The VW dealer Manfred Siemers also became an authorized Audi dealer. "Siemers Gasthof" later known as the "Alt Düneberg" restaurant was demolished at the end of 1999. Today, a large selection of used cars are presented at this location, which significantly enlarged the company premises.

In February 2006, as part of a nationwide "rejuvenation cure" for all VW car dealerships, the Geesthacht agency of the Wolfsburg car brand and the globally active group also got a completely new outfit. In order to strengthen the so-called corporate identity, the VW car dealerships are largely uniformly designed and brought into line with local conditions.

The “new” Autohaus Siemers thus appears like a new building – from the entrance portal to the floor, sun louvers to the clever lighting and light management system.
