Hey, I'm Melanie!

We are parents of two children who refuse to sleep in the van together. We now travel with tent and van. We’re currently too tired to put up a tent, hence the vans almost constant availability.
Personally, I’m looking forward to driving off alone and parking somewhere with a view, sipping (necking) a G&T and going through the puzzle pages of a newspaper.
I do though have wonderful memories of the four of us vanning around France for three weeks and regularly driving down to Hillend Campsite (Gower, has a great beach) and Racquety Farm (Hay-on-Wye, kayaking and walks) so can thoroughly recommend Vanessa Van Vanventurerer for that too.

Handover couldn't be easier with Melanie and her partner. We loved the long weekend as everything worked perfectly well and the top airbed was very comfortable. All was cleaned and well organised. August 2025

Early and easy handover. Very friendly with instructions etc. we went to Essex and Whitstable with two little grandchildren (4 and 6). We also took a small tent for extra space. The van had everything we needed and it was quite comfortable to sleep in, especially easy was moving the bed into position. It was a very useful experience as we are considering getting our own camper. August 2025

Great wee info session with Tim on our arrival. Van was great, signs of age on outside but that actually made me more relaxed! Inside was ideal- great fridge! Would definitely recommend. Hosts very flexible with pick up/drop off times. Can’t fault our experience July 2025

We had a fantastic time hiring Melanie’s van, it was perfect for what we needed. Not only did Melanie organised extra bits for us to borrow, she also removed some things so they didn’t take up space. The handover was smooth on collection and return, which was great for saving time. I would definitely hire from Melanie again, very friendly and helpful. June 2025

We had a lovely trip camping with friends in Mel’s van. Mel is a great host and really helped us out with all the gear; having things like fold up chairs and a little table for outside and a lantern for late night bathroom trips made it much more comfy. We are not regular campers so the whole reason to rent a van was to have everything at hand and easy to set up, and this definitely ticked that box! June 2025
