I'm Michael and I'm married to Julie. We bought our Motorhome 'Swifty' nine years ago and have enjoyed many weekends away in the nearby Yorkshire Dales and Lake District. In 2017 we gave up our printing and teaching jobs and took a 'gap year' travelling around Europe in Swifty. We drove as far as Poland and enjoyed visiting 9 countries along the way. We are not quite retiring age so we bought a small village hardware shop six months ago and are currently working hard to build this up into a successful business. This does mean that we don't have as much free time to travel in our beloved Motorhome and she is just sat there on our drive looking a bit forlorn! We have joined Goboony to make use of Swifty while we are working and also hope that fellow travellers enjoy holidaying in her as much as we do.

The handover with Michael was good, and he explained everything well about the motorhoming, as I was totally new to using motorhomes. We had a trip around North Yorkshire both inland and coastal. I enjoyed the experience of having your home literally with you, it felt quite unique. The overcab bed was very comfortable too I must say. I recommend Michael to anybody else who is thinking of hiring a motorhome. October 2025

A very pleasant experience all the way through. Michael was friendly, helpful and his motor home had everything we needed for our trip. It was pleasant to drive and never missed a beat. My son and I had a great experience camping for 4 days, the motor home was cozy and comfortable. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Michael’s services or motor home again. We had a great time. September 2025

Michael is an excellent host, and was always available to answer any questions, as, even with a thorough handover, sometimes you forget stuff. Swifty is an older lady and a bit scuffed around the edges inside and out. However, she drives well, is comfortable and everything works. We didn't drive around, just to and from a horse trials where we set up, and Swifty was a great base. We'd hire her again. September 2025

We hired the swifty from Micheal for the weekend for us as a family amd the dog traveling down south. Swifty didn't miss a beat. Michael and Jenny were great - really good at staying in touch. We were motorhome virgins, so we were relieved that they explained everything so well and were on hand whenever we had a query. Motorhome is really comfortable, easily slept four adults, had all mod cons and was very well equipped with everything you might need: outside furniture and an umbrella to name but two. July 2024
