Home built camper, ready for adventure!
I built this van (my 5th!) For travelling round The Highlands and Islands of Scotland. She's not built for Instagram! But she's super practical. I chose a short wheelbase so she's super easy to park, manoeuvre in town, pass vehicles on single track roads or tuck her away do sneaky camps!

I converted her 4 years ago and spent the money where its important, chiefly on the fold out bed! You have to get a good night's sleep! I also put a storage locker along side the bed to give you a little extra room so you're not too cramped together. The second thing is a proper compressor fridge that can hold a proper amount of food and drink.
The interior is a little 'home spun', but this vehicle was built tough for getting...

You have to provide your own gas for cooking - available everywhere. There will be enough to get you started !
Drop off the van before I work at 10am, but my partner work from home so we are flexible...
Pick up is at 6pm onwards
We are happy for you to come early if we are about and if the van isn't already on hire, to make the most of your hire time and you can bring it back late too, if you get delayed and have to pull over due to tiredness it's no problem, no stress - just keep us in the loop.

Johnathan is a super nice guy; he did great suggestions on where to go for a hike.
He is also super accommodating. The pick-up time was originally set at 18:00, but we preferred to leave a bit earlier an let Johnathan know about this. He told us he could not guaranty an earlier pick up time, as other folks were due to bring the camper back earlier that day. When they came back early, he got the camper cleaned in no time so we could have it at 11:30 instead (which was great for our travel plans)!
What I also really liked is the look and personality of the van. Easy to find back in a large carpark full of white campervans :-)

We traveled with Katy ( = the van) for two weeks on the winding roads of Scotland.
Joe was very accommodating, the check in and check out were smooth in Edinburgh.
The van is well equiped for two persons and the bed is confortable.

Our trip to the Highlands would not have been the same without Jonathan and his campervan. It is in perfect condition, equipped with care and rationality, making for an ideal stay. In addition to his campervan, Jonathan generously gave us lots of tips to make our trip unique and off the beaten tourist track (packed with people the week we travelled). We have seen spectacular places accompanied by the campervan which has allowed us to get everywhere.

Joe and his girlfriend were very nice and helpful. They gave us really good advice about different areas to explore in Scotland.
The van was super confortable and tidy.
It was cozy and warm at night and the camping equipment provided was perfect. The van was easy to drive and park!!

We used the camper the lady week adn it was incredible! The car works very well, has low carburant consumes, never had a problem and permitted us to go everywhere as its size is not excessive even for the narrowest roads in the Highlands and in the Skye Island. There is enough room for storing all the things you need and Jonathan provided us extra blankets and pillows from the beginning without even asking for it, so if you are planning to use Katy don’t carry too much things.
Last but not least, Jonathan is a delicious person, very kind and willing.
Definitively recommended for your Scotland travel.

Had the best time travelling around the islands with Katy the campervan! She's a great van that runs well, is well equipped with your necessities, and Jonathan was great! Katie the campervan was just what we needed. A week island hopping on the Hebrides with our little dog, we had a great time. The van is easy to drive, we got all our bits and bikes into it and the bed is sooo comfy, we slept like logs despite the stag do singing coldplay next to us.
Jonathan was really helpful, friendly and took me through everything I needed to know as a first time hire. He is easy to communicate with and accommodating when our ferries times proved a challenge. Would definetly recomend to our friends and other renters.
