I converted this van back in 2017. It started life taking me on mountain bike trips and has since taken us round the North Coast 500 and plenty of other on and off grid trips. It has 3 belted seats up front, a fixed double bed and a sofa that converts into a second double bed meaning that it can sleep up to 4 people and pets, or 2-3 in comfort!

Under the fixed bed there is a substantial garage that has a built in rack to store 4 adult bikes! Or plenty of luggage!

The van features two leisure batteries connected to a large solar panel on the roof, and a split charger meaning that the battery charges when the engine is on. So no shortage of electricity. The batteries power the LED lights, electric tap for the sink, the fridge/coolbox and the 12v socket and multiple USB sockets. There is also a 300w inverter for charging laptops etc.

Up front, I have replaced the original stereo so it now features a touch screen with bluetooth connectivity and apple CarPlay. There is also cruise control, making it great for longer trips.

The van is based in Edinburgh (the perfect start point for the North Coast 500) and there is plenty of on street parking that you can use if you drive to pick it up.

For insurance purposes, any drivers have to be between 23 and 75 years old and have held a full license for at least two years. Please also be aware that for the insurance I will need a copy of drivers licence and two separate proof of address prior to collection. If you have more than two 3 point penalties or one 4 point penalty then please get in touch so I can check with insurance. (Its normally fine but worth checking!)

I have been all over the place in this van, from the south of France to the north of Scotland and loads in between and the time has come to let other people enjoy it as well!

I have a portable toilet and toilet tent as well for an extra £30 if needed. It makes going off grid a bit nicer!

Fantastic van. We made a tour to Scotland in a week. The van had everything we needed, kitchen, storage, good bed. Small precious details. Angus was super professional and friendly. Thanks again Angus. We recommend! August 2022
Angus is a very friendly guy. He acted very professionally both before and after the trip. The van itself drives great and fits 3 people. It is very nice that there are 3 seats in the front so everyone is able to be part of the roadtrip. Up until now i have never rented a self built van, but this was very well made. He also left some beers and a card which was a great gesture. Highly reccomend. One downside is that the van is a bit older and the diesel price is high so roaming around the highlands was a tad expensive :) July 2022
