We were blessed with being the first people to rent out the lovely Mabel. We met Gill and John in a large carpark and they showed us the ropes, they were great and very helpful. We had never driven anything this big before and it really helped having somewhere spacious to try it out initially. Mabel was immaculate, you could tell she was brand new. With that come all of the advantages of a modern cab inertia. I really recommend taking advantage of the central tablet mount and using one of your own. It really helped with navigation to have a huge map up right there. The cruse control and speed limiter are life savers when getting used to the vehicle, definitely try them out early they will save you a lot of work on your trip. We used Mabel to travel around Scotland's beautiful North coast 500 route then onto the Isle of Skye. Quite an ambitious schedule but Mabel made it easy. There is nothing as great as being able to stop at a view point and have a comfy sofa to sit in and admire the view. Or somewhere discrete to change before an impromptu swim as you passed one of the many beautiful beaches. The Aircon in the cabin was a life saver during this years hot summer. It worked quickly and well. We would definitely recommend Mabel for families. For couples you could definitely get away with smaller, but it doesn't hurt to have the extra space. The one real advantage we saw with the 6 birth was its bedroom location, this is at the back and has 180 degree views out of the rear. This makes it the nicest place to sit and sleep. We would definitely use Mabel again. July 2021
