Riding Farm is a family run motorhome rental company based in rural Beamish near Durham,
Newcastle and Northumberland. We are ideally situated for holiday makers wishing to explore the beauty and historical secrets of England’s least populated county, or equally well placed for those wishing to head to Scotland, the Lakes or into Yorkshire. Edinburgh, York and Carlisle are all an easy 90 minute trip.

We can provide linen, at a small charge
We can provide towels at a small charge
Dogs are not to be left unattended in the camper - small charge for dogs
A full tank of diesel is supplied and the van musty be returned with a full tank
The camper comes with 2 gas cylinders - one connected will be part full and the second full, the van must be returned the same any further gas requirements are your responsibility.
If you hire linen and towels from us all beds must be stripped and left in the linen bag
All bins must be emptied and ovens cleaned
We expect you to take care of the van as it is yours if there any problems please let us know as soon as possible.

Déçu. Le voyage commençait bien, mais nous avons eu un tout petit impact dans le par brise avant la veille de le rendre. Un impact qui se répare rapidement en France chez les réparateurs agréés. Une semaine après avoir rendu le camping car, la mauvaise surprise tombe ! Louise nous dit que le par brise doit être changé car la répartition et moins solide que le changement de par brise ! Contestation compliqué à distance pour nous. Résultat une facture de 750 £ ! Toute la caution y est passé pour un petit impact ! Méfiez vous. May 2023

Response from Louise Dear Fabian I am glad that you enjoyed your trip and am sorry that you had the misfortune to have an accident. Windscreens can be mended and as I explained, that would have been our desired route, but the expert in these matters ( autoglass) said they could not guarantee the windscreen. We take our safety and that of our guests sharing the van very seriously, so the windscreen was replaced. I am sure you would not have wanted the windscreen to break when out on another trip.

My wife and I had a dream time in this motorhome. We drove all the way up to Scotland and had a great time. Louis and her husband are very helpful and fully explained the motorhome to us. Heerlijke camper! Genoten van een mooie reis door Schotland. De camper is goed uitgerust met allerlei zaken, Hier en daar wat gebruikssporen maar dat is niet hinderlijk. De hond mocht mee, dat was voor ons een must. Fijn dat dit kon. Louise en Angus zijn vriendelijk en behulpzaam. En de cake van louise erg lekker! August 2022

From 1st contact to hand back the experience was very easy. Both Louise and Angus were very helpful in offering the overview of the features of the campervan and some of the things to look out for, so really helpful for us as a novice! The campervan has a good range of items to save you packing 'one off items' and tables/ chairs were a godsend for extending out when the weather permitted. Both my daughter and I found the drive easy to adapt too and look forward to further trips. We managed to get a mix of wild camping and access to campsites, taking in a route to Lock Lomond, Aviemore, Findhorn (which is a MUST), Ben Nevis and Oban, before heading home. As a driving holiday, we returned refreshed, which says a lot about the campervan and comfort. Thanks again. Al. July 2021
