Hybbie – Hybbie the Off-Grid Stealth Van

Unique bespoke converted campervan in Clapham, South London, that allows for off-grid solar powered travel.

Hybbie is the perfect van for exploring. We've driven her everywhere from Scotland to Albania, surfing, hiking and exploring cities along the way. The medium length of the van makes her easy to park in most spaces and being a 2013 van she is a delight to drive - with 35mpg she's pretty cheap to run too!

Inside there's a beautiful wood panelled interior with tall ceiling height (I'm 6'2 and can stand up no problem), a kitchen area and dinette seating that easily converts to a comfy bed. There is ample storage throughout and a garage with loads of space accessible only from the back which adds extra security.

She sleeps 2 with a memory foam mattress and has a bed length of 6'1. Everyone who has slept in the bed has been amazed at how comfortable it is!

Hybbie has a skylight to keep you cool and let in lots of light but is otherwise stealth - she doesn't stand out in cities or towns.

The cab has air conditioning, DAB/Bluetooth/USB and Aux (cable provided) with great speakers and a folding middle seat that acts as a picnic table - it also makes it easy to jump through if the weather outside has turned.

The 2x leisure batteries get charge from the solar panel and are topped up when you drive meaning you can stay off-grid for days at a time charging phones and using the lights at night. All the USB inputs throughout the van are USB-A (the standard type). While we don’t have a full electric hook up (EHU) we do have an extension cable for campsites that can be used to power your laptops and the portable heater etc

PLEASE NOTE: we will cover the ULEZ charge for your first and last day of renting but if you plan to use her in London you will need to pay this yourselves.
